This is very informative. I've just realised that I like your style of tutorials, after having just watched your Timeshaper one. The two displays at the bottom help a lot. What are they?

the left is probably either mid/side or left/right channel frequency response (i think span, which is free, can do this) and the right is the stereo image (ozone imager is the plugin he's using, it's also free)

so why not record twice intead of using this? i mean this gets more control and has a faster workflow but shouldnt we double take the vocals if we want it wider?
