Westbrook with Saric and Vlatko being spacing bigs along with Pwat and Strawther who are good and serviceable defenders respectively sounds like a pretty solid bench to me. Not only do you have someone who can get the basket with a spaced floor his flaws are minimized because he doesn’t have to handle the ball in the halfcourt. I agree tho they need to actually run an offense for the bench.

Has Jamal ever come into a season 100%? Every year he is either out completely, recovering, rehabbing, or playing his way back into shape. As a GM, I would be pissed at him for playing for Canada when he was injured all year.

Murray hasn’t been healthy since the 2018-2019 season. Murray is glass, never been voted All Star, and was immature and liability vs Wolves in playoffs last year. Yet, he’s going to receive a massive extension that will most likely hinder the Nuggets and Jokic’s future. We all love Murray when he’s on. But damn. Maybe nobody wants him, or Denver is too loyal or dumb to even entertain. But if he isn’t or hasn’t been part of some trade offers then that’s a serious problem. Yeah Crazy to say about the Nuggets 2nd best player. It’s the reality though if we take off homer glasses.

It's the type of coach Malone is that makes everyone play a little harder for him, and I really think think they don't win a chip without that.

Calvin Booth isn't a bad GM. Yes, Tim built the foundation of this team. Calvin made the KCP trade and bruce brown signing that helped get us a championship. Drafted Watson and Braun. All these nuggets fans who are saying booth is a bad GM, and Malone is a bad coach should STFU.

It's Connelly, not Conley. If you have an opinion about him, it lands with more validity if you at least know how to spell the dude's name. Fans think they know things these guys with 20 years in the NBA don't. "He seems bad"...exhibit A. Connelly made mistakes too, & had he not gotten wildly lucky with Joker, nobody would now care whether he stayed or left. That one dart that he threw which turned out to be the best value draft pick in NBA history defined his resume, but don't forget that he also traded Rudy Gobert, passed up Donovan Mitchell & of course...brought us the very forgettable Tylor Lyden.

My guess: The FO offered KCP to come back for one year at the same rate, but didn't want to go longer than that. So the FO can say they offered the "same contract" but really it was about 1/3 of the overall value.

@@scruffythejanitor1969true as these new rules are a game changer, but would have been contempt with the same starting 5. Will reserve judgement until seeing how Braun fills the void. MPJ had a hellacious series vs. Minn and looks to be sticking around. Hopefully he rewards that loyalty with better play when it counts. Picking up Trey Alexander from Creighton U and PJ Hall from Clemson were key acquisitions. Potential.

As frustrating as the guy is, the Nuggets without good Murray are a 1st-2nd round caliber team. We've seen it for the 3 years he was injured. I wouldn't play around with the contract and have him sign in Toronto. The Nuggets window lasts as long as Murray and Jok last together.

I don't see the "we don't skip steps" era as over. If anything it's in full swing. Take a good look at this team...i see SIX key players who were drafted in the last 2 years, with two trending upwards towards starter roles or key reserve status & the other four all poised for that as they grow in the next 1-2 years on rookie deals. Just because they rent a vet or two for 1-2 seasons doesn't change things. If anything it reinforces it, which is why we now see CB stepping into the KCP spot. Too much is being made over some imagined controversy with Jamal as well. If the Nuggets were bent on moving on from their strategy of developing from inside the organization, MPJ would be on the trading block, which he's not.

Pickett's G-league stats; 17.4 ppg, 5.5 reb, 8.9 assists, 48.7 FG%, 34.8 3PT%, 1.5 spg...explain why that is "trash". Those are the kind of numbers you want to see from a rookie PG in the G-league. In fact, they look a lot like what Monte Morris did down there & he developed into one of the most reliable backup PGs in the NBA for Denver, which is quite possibly what Pickett will be soon enough also, while Gillespie is going to be a guy who drifts from team to team as a deep bench emergency PG if he manages to stick on a roster. Gillespie posted better numbers his SECOND season in the league, but he played 40+ min a game & did it for only 8 games & in his only G-league start as a rookie he was not impressive. In any case, you don't seem to grasp the purpose of the G-league. It's not about stats, it's about development. What Gillespie's G-league stats don't tell you is that he will never be able to guard NBA point guards & Jalen Pickett will. I don't care about Picket's G-league stats, but I do care about the fact that he's been with Andre Miller for 17 starts down there & will get some more this year. That's the only stat line that matters.

I thought Murray was the one stalling, but if it's the other way around, it is a good thing. Murray has this arrogance about him, and I know he was a key part of winning the championship, but still, he hasn't earned that level of arrogance. It's a good thing to bring him down a notch.

Also last season when he was asked about coming ready for regular season he said, don't worry about it, I'll be there for play offs and we all know how it ended...

What you perceive as arrogance by Jamal, I see as confidence. He could be one of the most confident players in the league, if healthy - bar none. Don't forget that if Joker didn't play out of his mind during the championship run, Jamal would have been the finals mvp. That's how good he is. He's not arrogant. He just knows how good he is - and has proven it.

Yep and they’re about to give Murray, who technically hasn’t been healthy since 2019-2020 season, a max contract! Maybe no other team wants him, but Murray should have been traded this offseason. 59,65,48,0, and 59. Those are Murray’s games played each of the past 5 season. Saric is good signing, but we are still 7 players deep, his skill set and body type are irrelevant for the PO...You always have AG or Jokic on the floor and if you want to go deeper then 7, you'll bring in shooters. And if Saric is your best shooter, you have a problem.
