When you were a child in the 1980's , sweets were a big part of your life, I can only comment as a boy, but we had time to savour them. You got them as a treat not just a bag of haribo eaten like a bag of crisps. For me , my granny always had a selection of mints that would rival a sweet shop! Mint Imperials, polos, softmints both spear and peppermint and extra strong mints were the 'pocket mints'... like a first aid kit for any mint based emergency, while your individually wrapped mints, for some reason, were always 'house' mints, which made no sense as far as convenience goes, but every mint has its place! So Everton mints, butter mints, mint humbugs and the DADDY of all 'house' mints was... at 10 out of 10 was... THE MINT CREAM/CREME!!! in a lovely greaseproof paper wrapper, then inside was a beautiful , round sparkling crystalline mint with a crunchy outside and a madly minty creme filling, almost like a lite version of kendal mint cake , and quite sophisticated! My Nana always had chewing gums and chewy minty removal heartburn tablets that I used to eat by the pack, and minty breath spray, but THAT is I a whole different story altogether!

Polos have always been my favourite, I was addicted to them when I was younger. I was a big fan of their crunchy texture and the aftertaste. After Eights were another very popular one in my childhood, my dad used to bring some of the boxes of those he had in his restaurant back home so that I could have them haha. As this was a great tier list, the next one should be a definitive tier list on curries, that'd be amazing!
