I gotta say, it's sometimes intense being Catholic. The demonic hates us especially because of The Holy Eucharist, which no other faith has avowed. This is a fine example of His Almighty power, and I'm glad to see this testimony. I especially liked the determination of the home owner and the calm certainty of the priest.

It is intense but there are a lot of things I do not agree with as far as the church. I was raised Roman catholic, baptized and confirmed 😂 I feel that they are very hypocritical. If u are divorced, had children out of wedlock, not baptized, and so on, u are not "a child of God or in a state of grace" I do not necessarily agree with that. Their way of thinking contradicts the message of Jesus christ! Remember Mary Magdalen? Remember the criminal crucified next to him? That is why I've stepped away from the church. Not my faith nor my relationship with the lord but organized religion, as I feel it is very flawed. The church I grew up in, my parents, aunts, uncle's and cousins were members of, and that my parents, aunts and uncle's attended catholic school at as well, refused to do my aunts funeral mass because she was divorced! At another family funeral they were giving the eucharist and the priest would nor give it to my 7 year old sister because she wasn't baptized and while I know that is a mandatory sacrament it wasn't so much that he did that but more so that he told my 7 year old sister she wasn't baptized and therefore not a child of God! What kind of man, priest, human says that? To a child no less! I honestly don't believe in original sin either. I agree with other Christians denominations who believe that baptism should be done when u are old enough to understand sin and your commitment to the lord and the sacrament of baptism. There are some things I just don't believe in or agree with. I also don't believe in the rapture 😂 catholics do not believe in it, They believe in a gathering after Christ's second coming but not the rapture. That's one thing I agree with 😅

But don't you think that now and then we have to take a step back, and not judge the truth by a few bad representatives? Ask the saying goes, "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater." The Holy Spirit is either always with us or never with us. Every one of us can and does go astray. Don't give up on The Holy Eucharist, either. It is an impossibly radiant gift God has given us, and it helps bind many wounds. I'm sure you remember the inner joy of spirit you felt as you walked your way back to your pew at Mass. That's not something you want to abandon for a quarrelsome argument over some personal slight.

Ok so I found it. Dr. Richard Gallagher M.D. he wrote a book about his career both as a psychiatrist and consultant to the church. The book is called "Demonic Foes" one thing I had wrong or not exactly right was that he wasn't a believer before. He was actually raised catholic but he strongly questioned his faith and everything about it, until he started working with the exorcists.

I have known many Catholic Priests. The first one I ever remember meeting was a fella from Wales and at the time The Exorcist film was well known. I`d seen it - and it troubled me. Not so far as to drive me to unhealthy habits, but enough that I felt the film. I asked the Priest if he`d seen it. He said he had. I asked him it it affected him. He looked at me as if I were asking a nonsensical question an simply replied, `no.` He then related to me that he had been whitness to a real exorcism, which he described as extremely frightening. Some years later ( perhaps only two or three ) I met the Priest who was the prime participent in that real Exorcism. He was the `Official` Exorcist of the Diocese of Newcastle and Hexam, Northumberland, UK. It may seem odd, but these chaps are amongst the most level - headed and emotionally resillient people I have ever known.

@Melanie D I think some cases are genuinely paranormal but not all. Others are just sleep paralysis and nothing more than that. It is a confirmed condition and it's not that uncommon. I've had frequent sleep paralysis events ever since I was a little kid. It's understood well enough to know it's a type of sleeping disorder that causes a person to be awake and asleep at the same time for a while. At first it scared the living shit out of me for a long time, then I learned to control my own fear and now it's actually enjoyable lol. The point is figuring out which is paranormal and which is neurological. Most of the time it's the latter.

My exact thoughts too... They lived with what they called, "Casper the friendly ghost" for many years, then all of a sudden decided to pick a fight with it... Seriously??? Don't fix or mess with what's not broken! If you don't have a problem with things that go bump in the night previously,after living with it for many years... just leave things alone and keep peacefully coexisting. That's what our family has done for the past 20 yrs. and will keep on doing. Every now and then someone visiting will come in with a holier than thou attitude and get the snot literally scared out of them. They were warned, decided not to take it seriously and paid the price and will never come back, which we don't mind at all.

Here you have a family that has for years lived peacefully with whatever "ghost, spirit, entity, they share their space, home with. Then, one day, the father decides to stir up the peaceful coexistence by being confrontational towards whatever they have for many years cohabited with. THAT action, resulted in the chaos they are now experiencing. If things are are peaceful sharing space with spirit/ghost/whatever. Leave things alone and be thankful that you are able to coexist with whatever else is sharing your home. I know this, since our family has peacefully (for the most time, until something "new" has decided to "move in", and has been dealt with by BOTH us living, as well as the resident non living...) shared our home with "other beings" and through mutual respect, both us living and the non living, have mutually benefited from this shared respect. The reason it started getting worse after the Prayer was because it knew There was a threat in the house now the agitation is the demon beginning to fear its grip losening. It always happens this way, thats why even during exorcisms on people they always say if they start it they have to finish it all the way and not just give up half way because the more the demon loses it grip on the living the more the activities will start occuring powerfully, its like a wild animal getting cornered and will fight till its last strength.

You are stronger than demons / devils if you have strong faith in God and obey His commandments. when you sleep, make prayers to God & seek his protection before you sleep. And don’t sleep on your back or stomach. Sleep on your side & if you ever feel any energy/entity taking over you, start praying God & seek his protection; when you keep seeking protection in name of God, devils/demons shrinks to the size of a fly & they can not have power over you. But remember when you pray God, it’s the One true almighty God the Creator & Sustainer of heavens and earth. & not any false god: human god, son god, fathergod, animal god, or any other creation of God. Make sure there are no images/statues of living things (humans, animals, etc) around, and keep yourself & your houses clean as impurity gives power to devils.

Oh yea I know this case! I read the book called Demon of Brownsville Road, if I remember correctly. I'll double check. But the book was a really good read and plentiful in the creep factor. Of course it was far more details in the book since naturally, everything that happened couldn't possibly be crammed into an hour long show. For every horror shown in this episode, there's at least ten or more in the book. This poor family went thru absolute hell... literally! I think their strong faith in God and family unity was how they were able to deal as long as they did!

I will have to disagree with you. After my grandfather died, he would visit every night just as I got into bed. He did this for two weeks then stopped. I think he was just checking up on me, (he lived with us when he passed). There was nothing evil or disturbing about it. I don't believe in demons or angels as I am not religious but I think that there is evil. Could it be aliens who have been trapped here for millennia? That would be my best guess, at least for me. I am not knocking your religious beliefs, I just don't have any myself.

I experienced the same thing as the daughter with a dark figure next to me and I couldn't scream. I am an Afghanistan veteran but nothing scared me more than that entity.
