The MacMaster is in Orlando Florida at Denny's to review their Lumberjack Slam. Buttermilk Pancakes, Grilled Ham, Bacon Strips, Sausage Links, Eggs, Hash Browns and White Toast and is struggling to find something nice to say about this breakfast that seems to be yet again, mass produced processed junk food.

Watching this now. I ate Denny's in Orlando, the food was quite simply terrible, veggies boiled to mush like we did in the UK in the 70s. I was with my girlfriend at the time along with my Dad and Step Mum, I remember really winding him up because he was 55 and eligible for Senior Citizen discount which he was too embarrassed to ask for 😂😂 Thing is I am 56 now myself, he is no longer with us and it seems like yesterday 😢😢

No disrespect meant at all but America does not do sausages or bacon, both are dreadful. Breakfast didn’t look too good, hash browns looked raw in the middle? I think they saw the pan for like 2 minutes as they wasn’t even a good colour. I’d go 3 out of 10

I found interesting the "happy" staff who were having a discussion behind you. You were too generous. Having tried 3 different Denny's, I would never go there again, even though I can get a 15% discount. Much of the food is low quality, what is served often does not match the menu description, and service is usually poor. The one thing they do right is put the calories on the menu. Most of those breakfasts have more than I could consume in a day.

Reference the sausage. I walk my dog a little Pug every morning and it leaves a couple of those Sausages on the green which i always pick up in bags, these come in handy on cold mornings when i put them in my pocket to keep my hands warm 😂😂😂😂. Glad to see you added ketchup, looked like the meal was screaming out for some seasoning/ sauce. We actually had some good memories of Denny's when on road trips across the US but I suspect after several hours in a car you just want to refill and move on. That was over 15 years ago mind.

Exactly! Lee's reviews of majority US restaurants are primarily negative. He's either slamming the food, the cost or both? These are not places representative of the US. That's like me going to the UK and basing food culture on Weatherspoon's or Toby's? If he dislikes it here so much then why keep coming back?

@@sandradee1579 I'm from the UK and I've been to the States a couple of times and absolutely loved it. Including I might add the food. We went to a KFC while we were there. If you watch more episodes you will see I don't slam them all! Just the naff ones that deserve it. Also it's NOTHING to do with it being American. I'll give it a 6.5/10. Not the greatest meal, but by far the worst either. I agree with all the criticisms you mentioned, also agree with "I just want a coffee!!!" travelling to places like Australia, and just wanting a cup of tea, be prepared to be asked "which tea would you prefer?" When they say "Engish breakfast?" I say "no thanks, I've already eaten". Have had a few 😀, but also a few 🙄(I get it, it's a bit of 'Dad joke') from the servers. They also ask you "would you like milk with that?". The default option ALWAYS should be the 'English Breakfast' blend, and with milk. If the customer wants anything different, then let the customer tell you... otherwise, crack on with it, and don't ask the customer 1,001 questions, when he wants to be left in peace! It gets annoying VERY quickly - esp. when you go up for a second cup of tea. Hope you had a safe flight back to NYC (given that you'll have already done the trip). 👍

Denny's always seems like a good idea; big diverse menus, diner-style, open late, etc but it usually disappoints. Some are better than others though, I guess it depends on the franchisee. Wherever there is Denny's there is often a La Quinta Inn as they had a co-location strategy which tells you a lot about the brand itself. I think 6/10 is a fair score. Personally, I prefer independent diners in the US; they tend to be better quality and better value. Next time in the US could you do a video on the Cheesecake Factory? Keep up the good work Lee and many congratulations on reaching the 100K subscribers milestone.

The Denny’s at lake Buenavista is where we go when in Florida and tbf their food and service has always been great , quality good too , it’s a shame yours wasn’t up to standard, but like you said different manger , different staff can make all the difference with a franchise like this . The breakfasts in the USA will never be as good as a good old English breakie , but as they say ‘ when in Rome’ 😂

Hey Lee! See you had more chipolatas on your plate again. But they were even smaller than the IHOP ones. Hash browns looked extremely dry and were pieces of shredded raw potato to me. Eggs and Bacon plus pancakes looked okay. If they are the same chain you must know what to expect. See you had to drench your pancakes in syrup again. Very much a sugar rush. Hope you have your coat at the ready for New York and safe travels back ✈️ Take Care 😘👍🏻

You need zip off/on trousers for travelling for the first and last days 😉 Game changer! America's Diner haha, a bold claim lol!! Uh oh, pictures on the menu! Gordon won't be happy! I'm sure there are some menu hacks there somewhere lol!! What's dinner bread with the country steak and others?! Is that a biscuit?! I love that in America's Diner you can add fries or onions for 99c, but a salad is added at $3.49 😆 Looks good ham/gammon! Sausages look like the cheapest cruise buffet ones you can get lol!! Is the potato cooked enough in the hash?! Looks a bit raw?! IT'S NOT CHEAP TOAST! It's ARTISAN bread! 😆 Gosh, the bacon looks like it's hanging on by a thread of life 🫤 How can they call them link sausages 🥹 The ham/gammon looks the best thing for me. I don't like USA pancakes so can't comment on them, they really put me off lol. When you say the hash wasn't as good, do you mean not as cooked?! Haha!!! Yeh not as grilled lol! I can't go very high on that as it really, nearly all failed! I'd go like 4........ .2..... maybe, but it was pricey, so maybe a 3.9?! I saw your Facebook post where you said it was rated too high, and yeh, a 6 was TOO high!!

I lived in the Castle Hotel for a year, longest staying resident to this day and that was my cooked breakfast most mornings thst i chose those years ago. Gary Rhodes has cooked my diner, and then onto Phil Vickery both TV chefs. I was stood in the Castle hotel holding a beer in my hand as the news came out that Phil Vickery had just been sacked by the owner Chapman...because he called in sick....but the problem was he was live on TV on BBC1 sitting next to his wife Fern Brittain....lolz...i asked Chapman that was standing next to me who is going to cook my dinner?, he growled and walked off...the year of our lord 2003...maybe 2002...too many beers. As you said, Lee, the hash browns weren't browned enough and the sausages were?!?! ... but as they were American sausages, they were probably circumcised, that's why they looked odd. 🤣 The eggs though, did look great, and I love eggs very much. You'll really feel the cold when you get back to New York after a time in the sun. Brrrr!

I know what you mean about different Dennys. We went to one in Vancouver last year, we usually love Dennys been loads of time, this one was hard to find and when we did find it there was a psychotic homeless person refusing to come out of the toilet but it didn't seem to bother the staff and my wife got food poisoning from the chicken! We then went to a Dennys in anaheim a totally different experience

Lee, it’s time to change your look at American food. The vlogs you did on independent places and higher end places were excellent. The national chains are fundamentally garbage whose ratings will always be from -1 to +7. Over sweet, over salted, poor quality, lousy coffee, lousy bacon, rubbish sausage, etc etc. so a 6 is a generous rating for somewhere I wouldn’t entertain (your vlog reminds me not to even think about trying them again). Americans are used to rubbish, enjoy eating it and it defies logic. AND IT’S SO EXPENSIVE!! Thanks for the video, but you need to look after your health - don’t eat in American chains!

Charge it back Lee, naughty holiday Inn. That's Typical Denny's food we used to go in there before we hit the parks, menus are always massive. Camp coffee, careful, I do remember that tasted awful. Onwards

Mac, only go to family restaurants or pancakes restaurants ,mostly in suburbs for breakfast in USA, before 2000, they use to some jumbo oscar Meyer breakfast sausages that were off the chart, but like all food at restaurants is downsized and less quality, best sausage for English full Monty I had, in st hellier, jersey, nice, in middle of town , near market, go there, just a nice area

A Denny's opened just outside Glasgow a few years ago and didnt last long. By all accounts it was abysmal. Didnt like the look of that breakfast at all (apart from the pancakes) I was trying to make out what the two staff members behind you were saying🤣🤣

I've watched all your vids in the US and the food seems very hot and miss and also on the expensive side and the quality seems to have gone down hill since I visited the States nearly 20 years ago, back then it was cheap, plentiful and better quality.
