A Derivative Using the Power Rule With Negative Exponents

In this video I describe the steps in evaluating a derivative involving a variable in a denominator.
One of the most basic calculus differentiation rules is the power rule, but it cannot be directly applied in this equation until it is re-written using negative exponents.
