Looking good. Having done my own frame-off restoration I really enjoy watching you get into this one. I sandblasted the tub and, after metal repairs. I also painted the entire tub (and inside body panels) with POR 15 and then sprayed 2k epoxy primer over that. I do want to give you some encouragement on your uploads ... IMHO you are doing everything right. Love the narrative without stupid music and, most importantly, you actually show some of the work and not just talk about what you are going to do. I think that is important and useful -- and appreciated even though it takes more time and effort on your part. I hope your subscriptions will increase as you deserve some support. I am a fan. Keep 'em coming!!

Thank you for the encouraging words! I'm enjoying both aspects of this project... the work itself and making the videos.

I just redid the entire front suspension on mine as well. I was lucky because it was not as dirty as this one. I certainly have been down that road with my 59 GMC pickup, so I understood completely when you said time for a quick cleanup.😉However I wish I would have assembled the a arm to the king pin on the bench. I did it while it was on the car and had a little trouble getting the little pin in as much as I would like to on the right side. I threaded on as much of the little nut as I could onto the pin and put thread lock on it as well. I will need to keep an eye on it. Keep up the great work. Even though I already completed mine somehow I am just drawn to watching this. The engineering of these little English sports cars is amazing.Thank you very much.

Your videos are great. Spridgets have been one of my active interests since the 80s. it is good to dee useful info being put out there. Those fulcrum pins.... They actually pivot in the lower control arm threads as you've seen. throughout all the years of working with these little cars, I have only seen two arms that were worth using as is when rebuilding the front end. many of them look good, buy will be less than satisfactory once the car is driven. The control arms are rebuildable, but that is quite the process. The threaded bushings get de-brazed and new ones silver brazed in place using a fulcrum pin to locate them. I used to do that when they were scarce in the parts system.

Thanks for the clarification on the fulcrum pins... makes perfect sense seeing as the kingpin is effectively locked to it. I'll have a closer look at the a-arms once I get them all cleaned up.

Another great video! Will you be recording a video on the reassembly? Did your car have an anti-roll bar? I understand they were an option in 1958-60.

Thanks Matt. There will be a reassembly video, probably in early 2022. I may be changing over to disc brakes and adding a sway bar, which my car did not have.
