There's something profoundly healing about atmospheric black metal. It feels like the raw cries of a tortured soul reaching out into the void, yet finding solace in the vast beauty of emptiness. Each note resonates with pain, yet it carries a strange comfort, like a cold wind reminding you that you're alive. In its darkness, there’s a beauty that is both haunting and transformative-a reminder that even in shadow, light can exist in its most delicate and ethereal form. This music doesn't just speak to you; it listens to the parts of your soul you thought no one could hear, revealing the sublime artistry hidden within despair.

@@nodustollens9075Why being so negative in response to someone showing their happiness? I'm not saying you are mandate to like the album, but why choosing unnecessarily negative words that can hurt the musician and the commenter, when you can express the same concept by saying, for example, "I don't find these song as powerful as I'd liked them to be", or "I'd enjoy them more if they were more impactful", or the so?

amazing álbum 10/10 BMP (╬▔皿▔)╯ Nowadays you can't avoid atmospheric black metal. It's something of a cultural phenomenon, a friendly offshoot of the more outrageous and extreme metal genre (as it was in the '90s) that nevertheless doesn't lose its connection to what came before it. Most of these bands prefer to channel different aspects of Nature through their music, some declaring "a celebration of the death of man" and it seems to be a logical development of the genre. The growing popularity of atmospheric black metal, its connection with ambient and post music, only demonstrates that the scene lives and grows on its own. Skogslott is an excellent album from start to finish with good musical production that does not fall into monotony. It is easy to sink deep into the dense atmosphere. These four songs are hypnotic and repetitive, offering just enough variation to keep a solid distance from boredom. While the drums hammer mainly straight forward, the guitars shred mind and soul. Thrilling and dynamic, spreading a similar mood as Sivyj Yar, Drudkh or Gherzen. Hail A Different Cloud "👹"₆₆₆ Favorite tracks "Wintry Mysteries" and "The Return".

The last song repeating like that sounded like an ending that was drawn out. Id say delete that part or fade it out after four bars. Besides that the album was great. It's just those bits that make a whole album unlistenable. It's like taking a shit into a gourmet meal. It's a small part of the course, but it taints all the food! So, either change that last part so it doesn't repeat, like adding more melodies to vary it up, or the song becomes utterly useless. Please, stop with this lazy writing! Every band does this now and makes me wonder if it's worth it to separate what an Ai would produce.
@ryanhawks8864Ай бұрын
That's the doubel-edged sword of being a one-man band. I'm sure they recorded it all without showing it to anyone prior to release. A band would have feedback for each other and work on a song, whereas one-man bands don't. The benefits though are that you get a lot of super cool untainted stuff straight from the soul.
@QuestionThings123Ай бұрын
@ryanhawks8864 exactly. You nailed why it's fine imo. Bands with more than one person can generally throw ideas around/get feedback. You don't see that really from the omb projects but I would much rather have the mistakes & raw stuff from omb people because they also don't have multiple people throwing ideas out that can often end up either messing up the music or clashes of ideas that end up changing the bands concept & sounds altogether or lead to split-ups. With one person you get exactly what they intended and no one taking what they wanted away from it. It's done just the way they wanted and comes from the soul, that's far more important in my mind

at some point thinking of a super serious and deep name for your band became pointless lol. I kinda like when someone doesnt give a fuck and name their band literally anything. Its the music that matters in the end.
