I instantly had to think of Lunar Aurora (well, artwork by Benjamin König is maybe why..). But deeper in, the atmosphere and the well crafted riffs have some parallels to Lunar Aurora in style and quality aswell, wich is great! I would fcking love to have this one on CD or LP !!!

Fantastic album, but I just wish that the drum samples were a bit more organic sounding. I generally don't mind programmed drums, but they can stand out a bit too much when you have those longer passages where every bar sounds exactly the same. I think there is some room for improvement even without having a live drummer - some softwares can add random tempo swing, if you add just a little bit then the rhythm will still be tight, but will feel much more 'alive'. In some software it should also be possible to add swing to other parameters like volume, etc. Also, some programs can do automatic sample substitutions, so e.g. there are some drum packs where you get several versions of e.g. the same snare sample, each just very slightly different, then you can configure your software to rotate between them, to add some variability to the sound.
