lemme tell you tho I swear this guy plays bots any time I throw a drone into a room I wait for someone to shoot it . most times this works but on the off chance they know ur not gonna get on the drone so they don't shoot it, on the off chance that happens bait with a sound queue like getting on the drone control and then switch right back the ashes problem is that she got on it instantly and even drove it a little gave her self no time

Same happens in my lobbies too, it’s not only ego, it’s also people being distracted on their phones while playing and people also expecting everyone else to do the job of anchoring and reinforcing. I anchor a lot especially in tight rounds, but everyone either blames you for losing a 1v4 or they get mad that THEY died off of OBJ and YOU aren’t protecting them EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR DECISION TO NOT HOLD OBJ IN THE FIRST PLACE. It’s EGO. UNAWARENESS. AND IGNORANCE.

Personally I don't think it's due to high egos from the players but rather a lack of consequences from the game, more often than not I win just the same with or without the reinforcements.

It's only a piece of the puzzle, but I have conflicting feelings on the decision they made years ago to switch from 2 reinforcements per person to 10 reinforcements for the team. Ultimately it's still probably for the best, but it also makes it easier for players to shrug off responsibility for reinforcing. I find myself still prepping well after attackers spawn or having to abandon certain preparations because I'm the one setting up 4 walls, 2 rotates, and my gadgets while anchors with simple gadgets AFK and roamers hide from drones and leave site immediately. Like, if a Rook puts down his armor and then gets on his phone until the attackers spawn, it's on him when Buck and Kali open the site up or when I get shot placing my Aruni gate just as the rushing Ash gets near site. But the Vigil that immediately went to another floor to prep a spawnpeek also failed to pick up that slack even though he had plenty of down time. At least when it was 2 per person everyone was expected to contribute and could be concretely called out both for not participating and for passing the buck. Not a solution to the problem, just gives it metrics by which to shame someone for not contributing rather than my subjective opinion of how you're "supposed" to play certain anchors or roamers.

It's because shooting through wall opens up defensive options when the attack is at a high enough level to prefire defenders common positions. It's a fundamental problem with the game that the attacker swinging the angle can be at advantage.

It just that, at high level, you can play equally well off of having reinforcements and not having them, on most sites. So you might as well not, since you can always put up reinforcements, but you can't take them back. What would be really interesting is if this game had defender hard breach options - Some way for defense to dismantle their hard walls using an operator or secondary gadget, when the round shifts and they become more helpful for the other team.
