You must get rain every week, except in fall. I love your grassland pastures. Yes deep roots of summer perennials make for better water capture. You should wear your brown sombrero year ‘round.f

Excellent presentation. I just found your channel. I've been following Greg Judy for a couple years and he shows tons of diversity of grass, bugs and wild life using mob grazing like you. I like the close ups photos but wanted to see the January time. I'm new to this and have just moved to Lebanon MO., just would like to ask how do you defend your self from Tick diseases walking in all that tall grass? I'm afraid of Lyme.

If you burn regularly, ticks aren’t a problem at all. Suppressing fire is what causes tick numbers to rise.

@@xxpowwowbluexx But Greg doesn't do that, I want to know what he does. Burning would ruin his balanced eco system

Have you had anyone in central Indiana establish a native grass pasture?

We send seed into Indiana regularly. The native plants of the tallgrass prairie and savannas used to grow in Indiana and still do well there. It is important to get genetics of seed that are adapted, in other words it is not desirable to move seed a long way north or south. So seed from Alabama or Minnesota might not be a good choice for you.
