They don't make original TV movies anymore. That's a shame because this movie was so heartwarming. Just to see Art Carney, who to me will always be "Norton,' and Howard Rollins who played "Mr. Tibbs". Exciting! Stellar performance. Thanks for uploading this!

Excellent movie, especially learning how elderly people respond differently to drugs and diseases. I knew an elderly man whose wife passed out in a public place and it was from a urinary tract infection. She had dementia too, so she may not have been aware of any symptoms, or may not have had any symptoms, as brought out in the movie. Sad about the marriage breaking up, but medicine is very demanding. I enjoyed the movie very much.

What an interesting and informing story about old people and their ailments. I find it fascinating that a pill like digoxin meant for heart disease could possibly also onset dementia. I believe dementia is accelerated by the use of an assortment of pills for several issues as sleeplessness and anxiety as well. Thank you for a great film.

OMGOSH! ❤ WHAT A WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL MOVIE! I WISH THERE REALLY WAS A WORLD THAT EXISTED LIKE THE ONE DEPICTED IN THIS MOVIE. THINGS WOULD BE SO DIFFERENT. PEOPLE WOULD CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND GO A BIT MORE OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP A FELLOW MAN IN NEED. ❤❤😊😊😊

Really good movie. However, at least the wife is not having to work waiting tables or ringing a cash register, unless she wants to, that is. Be grateful that you have a husband who LOVES YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN !!! Being a doctor is beyond a full-time career.

Yes but being grateful and content are two different things...she was being honest with him and herself...and after so long feeling a certain way can wane on a person's psyche..better to have dealt with it the way she did rather than have an affair

Well, back in the 80's a doctor made enough to take care of the family and pay the bills, also, there were plenty of women who worked just as hard if not harder then most men. and a career should never come before family.

@@dawn.michelle.woundedarrow2048Be assured that when it comes to most medical doctors, their career does come before their family, and the best one can do (if married to one) is to accept it.

Yes indeed, a wise woman would be prudent enough to be thankful for a husband who does have a good job, and who is dedicated and successful at what he does. Rather than selfishly brooding on being disappointed and communicating bitterness that defiles; to rather be setting a good example for their children to follow; this also by graciously stepping in, in the areas where their father is lacking.

IT'S PRETTY SURE THAT MOST OF THE OLDER ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE ARE PAST ON BY NOW. THAT'S REALLY SAD BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT MOST OF THE YOUNGER AND MIDDLE AGE PEOPLE WON'T SEE NEW MOVIES WITH THEM STARRING IN THEM. I LOVE WATCHING OLD MOVIES AND MY FAVORITE MALE ACTOR IS ART CARNEY. 😅❤

Strange to be under the impression that he'll be working less in his own private practice, since the opposite is true - in all businesses - when one is working for oneself.
