I too was pregnant when I had this surgery. This was my second time with the same problem. At age 14 it was removed and was malignant then 15 years later , 7 months pregnant with my first child I found the tumor again but much smaller. We waited until I had the baby for surgery. It was followed by radiation. My baby is now 37 years old.

It’s so much better to get these out before they get huge. I’ve had both my parotid glands removed due to chronic infections. The fist one I had out was so damaged it was a bunch of goo, the second one some years later became tumorous. I didn’t have any facial damage, but I was left with some strange side effects like sweating while eating. Coming from the area where they were removed.
