Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the video. Especially when the weather is fine, there is nowhere better than up high in the Southern Alps! The Lake Camp is definitely worth the extra climb (even if it didn’t always feel so at the time) 😀. The videos take a bit of energy but it makes it all worthwhile when I get such feedback, so thank you again for taking the time.

Hi JonHiclimb! Thank you for the excellent video of a great trip. I enjoyed it immensely! The lovely weather meant the scenery looked at its best. My friend did a trip in that area at Christmas about 20 years ago and had rain every day. He would have loved being on your trip. And you must all be pretty fit. Well done !! Peter Archer.

Thanks Peter, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes we were extremely lucky with the weather which makes all the difference on high level walks. It’s a great spot! Cheers Jon

Thank you for sharing this. I have done most of this and really enjoyed it. I did not do your section from lake man back to windy point. How long did that take over the two days? Could you do that in one day? Also I don t like narrow ridges where I can fall. Did you encounter an6 of these during the last days at the tops? Thank you very much. A keen tramper 🗻🗻🗻

Hi there Arif, so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback. It was a fair way from Lake Man back to the road end at Windy Point. It took us 12.5hrs over 2 days, about 1200m of ascent and over 2000m of descent all up. Not too exposed though and fantastic high level walking if the weathers good! Cheers Jon
