STOP 😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️👏👏👏👏 One of my earliest memories is when I was 4 or 5 and a crew of lion dancers came to my school and gave a performance. I remember zero context, my school was very low income and we didn’t really get field trips and visitors and performances like other schools do so this was a treat indeed. I wish I knew what brought them to our little school on the bad side of town, I wonder if it was for lunar new year. they ran through the rows of students sitting on the floor and it was utterly magical. I remember my hopeful, cat loving heart wanted them to be real so bad! I was amazed at how people could move so fluidly together. whenever I see lion dancers I am taken back to that day as a little girl and I’m filled again with that great feeling of wonder-one of the most beautiful things about childhood. what a sweet, lucky boy. he touches lives already, a fond memory for many.
