In today’s video, I show you the part of Potter Heigham, which is across the A149.
In my opinion, it’s totally different to the Latham’s side. Latham’s side is the hustle and bustle of the river and boating and the other side, is more the residential village side. Both sides equally as lovely in their own ways.
Please note, parts of the video are speeded up to X2 speed. I’m not speeding while I’m driving.

Bonjour from France! What a beautiful video! The country lanes of rural England in winter, with absolutely the right music to accompany the drive! A very interesting video, will have to investigate when back in Norfolk in June (Covid permitting). You certainly drive a lot faster than I would on those single track lanes.

An iPhone or any other phone camera always makes the speed look faster. Plus quite often i speed the footage up to x2 faster. I’ve filmed Acle by car today. Almost all the footage will be X2 speed.

Same with the other walk just past the church and what an array of birds to see. Although they're not good if another car's coming towards you, the little single track roads are beautiful. Always happy to take my lovely subscribers out on day trips 😉🚗 I promise to film the spoonbills in the summer. Presently, they’re away on a winter sun holiday in Gibraltar. I might arrange a walk down to the bird hide for everyone very soon. If only I really could do these trips for everyone in real life. Wouldn’t that be fabulous. Yes 🚙, I thought , oh no I might have to reverse …… or just get out and walk home 😂😂😂. Tomorrow is another driving one, but everything goes wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 you’ll see, I won’t spoil it. I really hope you didn't wash your car, before chauffeuring us all around Potter Heigham in all that sloshy mud!... I'm one of those broads holidaymakers, who used to think that the village was only what you can see around the famous old bridge. It wasn't until I lived in the area (well, Gorleston anyway) that I found out what a huge area Potter Heigham covers. I love the walk through to the bird hides and the viewing tower bordering Hickling Broad. One day, I'll stop off and take a look at St. Nicholas, which looks quite impressive. I'm a big fan of East Anglia's round towered churches, but there's always so much to see and so little time...

St Nicholas church explains how Potter Heigham gets its name. The pottery company that used to be there. I thought I’d show everyone, as you say, that there’s more to the places than you see by boat. Another storm due tomorrow. 50mph winds. Hope I get a good spot to film it from. The metal feature 🤫 will appear in December’s videos hopefully.
