A drive around Traralgon's CBD in 1989 (from old VHS vision)

I thought it might be interesting for some others to see how Traralgon's changed over the last few decades.
This was shot by a friend, and I edited and titled it. The video was beginning to break down when I digitised it some years back, so probably got it just in time.
Not a lot of detail, but still, it may jog a few memories. Nice to see the old Traralgon Pharmacy before it was painted SCREAMING NEON YELLOW. :-)

Love all the classic cars that were still on the road in '89. wish it was still like this today!

Most of those cars are junk, though. No one had nice cars in 1989 - most didn't even have basic features like power steering or air conditioning, and you can forget about power windows. Decent cars were available, but people just couldn't afford it at the time. You'll see very few imported cars, as most cars were built in Australia then, by just a handful of manufacturers.

@H HOUR HOTEL Most new cars in 1989 didn't have standard power steering. It was usually an optional extra. It was only standard on Falcon and Commodore, but not most other cars of the era. Air conditioning was also an option on the majority of cars - standard on very few. Same goes for power windows.
