A Drive Over Snoqualmie Pass

We drive on Interstate 90 West from Easton to North Bend in Washington State. Along the way, we drive over Snoqualmie Pass. At the end of our drive, we stop and see Snoqualmie Falls.

Not only was the scenery beautiful on this drive, but you got some great clouds as well. They perfectly fit the scene. I was surprised by the exit sign in North Bend of "436th St." It's very rare to get a triple-digit named road anywhere, but in the four hundreds? Turns out North Bend has most of their streets numbered.

That is an interesting observation about the street numbers. I looked at a map, and it appears that the street numbering system for Avenues (it is an Avenue, not a street) starts in downtown Seattle, and the numbers increase as you go west. Don't quote me on that, but that would explain why the number is so high. Anyhow, it was a great day to make this drive. As you mentioned, the clouds were just right. As you know, days like this are somewhat rare in Western Washington. The same thing happened with my Mount Rainier drive. We were lucky to hit it on just the right day.

@@ASunnyAdventure Oh I hear you regarding sunshine. In my week there years ago, I arrived on Wednesday and it was cloudy the first few days and couldn't see Ranier until Sunday, had a pretty nice day there but had a perfectly clear day for my "must see" Mount St. Helens excursion.
