My favorite place in the world. It's criminal that I can only get out there once or twice a year.

I miss California so much. Bishop is my hometown and I wish with every fiber in my being I could just visit. I moved a while back and just looking at everything again makes me so happy.

I've been going to Bishop since I was old enough to walk. I can see how living in the city may be dull but if you make the trip to fish and spend the nights in town, it's a great stay. "Smokehouse" (Bishop Smoked Meats) has the best beef jerky on the planet, although they have made their slices a lot thinner as of the last 4 years, still amazing. It's one of the main reasons I go. That and Schatz Bakery

I live here and I love it. You're drive thru Bishop was just that. A drive thru on the main hiway. No stops, didn't drive any neighborhood streets, no back roads, no dirt roads, no streams, no lakes, nuthen. You missed buddy.

Hey, I sure enjoyed that ride thru Bishop. Used to go there often--long time ago - 1970s. Yup, it's changed. Gotta get back to the Eastern Sierra. Love it! Thanks, Jim

I was birthed in Riverside in 1940 because Bishop did not have a hospital. I lived in Bishop from 40-50. Many sweet memories. My father owned Mountain Liquid Gas, now owned by Petrolane corp, I believe.

I just passed through Bishop yesterday (9/5/16) from Lee Vining to San Diego, it was a nightmare. Over 40 thousand visitors passing through made for great business but highway was a parking lot. I like browns place in Bishop, nice place to picnic and relax before making the 6 hour drive home.

caused by people leaving Burning Man? One year it took us 8 hours for what's normally a 4 hour drive around Labor Day.

You're right! Your timing couldn't have been better. I'll be in Bishop tomorrow! I'm going to try to hit up BBQ Bills while I'm there. Last time I was in town we ate at Holy Smokes.

@DHAROK108 I guess its not for everybody. I noticed you uploaded a Test Drive Unlimited 2 vid. Cool! I worked on the original for 360, PSP, PS2, and PC. The sequel is pretty bad ass.

Good Video. Most videos on Bishop just drive through without commenting. I haven't been there in years. Looks like it hasn't changed much. I hear they have a brewery now.

It's awesome for outdoors activities. Lots of great fishing and hiking locations. In the winter there's skiing, snow shoeing, and ice climbing.

Well if you can drive the whole town at 25 mph in 8 minutes, there doesn't seem like a reason to go there in the first place. I think the people who say they are from there, all commented.
