A route I found interesting through very varied countryside as part of the Railway Touring Co. GBXII Steam tour of the UK in 2019. We arrived in style though with B1 61624 and Black Five 44871

They should think about reinstating the " Paddy " that once ran once a week between London and Stranraer with extra stops at Cainryn for the new ferry terminal ,I am sure it would be a popular and profitable train.

Electrification to girvan is confirmed, but not further south. battery/hydrogen to stranraer is most likely
