we need an episode with someone who works at the public hospitals so that we can unpack and understand all the negligence that people experience at the public hospitals, the traumatic stories i've heard from women who gave birth in public hospitals, its really scary.

Well girl this is really sad as I'm typing right now I'm in tear because my brother was hit by a car 2 weeks back and the way they treated him was so unfair coz it happened at 7am he was taken to the hospital and he was there from morning I went to see around eleven he was not yet cleaned up still full of blood no painkillers were given to him he was in pain.. then they said we can go out and come back after 2hours obviously I can't sit outside for two hours I had to go back to work but I was communicating with him all the time. Then he only got to be stitched at 20:00 this is pm now and after that they decided they won't admit him he must go home at 21:00 and I'm talking about someone with heard injury lost his teeth aii 😭😭😭 these people they just evil period

I understand Palesa saying she understands the pressure that the nurses and doctors at private hospitals feel must be overwhelming but it gives them no right to treat people like trash, the same doctors who work at the government hospitals are the same doctors who work at private hospitals they just choose to treat people based on where they are. @Relebogile we need you to please bring in the nurses and doctors from government hospitals I know you got relevant questions for them lets let them unpack to us why they are so angry and so cruel yet they have sworn to save people's live....

I spoke to another man who was involved in the same car accident a month ago. This man was so traumatized as if it happened days ago. I thank God that he made it alive and that aus Palesa you made it out alive. From what the guy said, he did also mention that the man was indeed drunk and that he may have passed away. The sad thing about this story is the after effects of the accident. Like aus Palesa the man struggles to be in the road. He has nightmares about it and it takes a lot for him to be behind the wheel and driving is his livelihood.

There’s no such thing as “being rude because they are over worked”. When you work with sick or traumatised people you must be at your a game 24/7 365. Or else find another job. There’s no pressure, they are lazy.

Im sitting on the bed its almost 5 mnths w a broken Patella and still await a knee operation, i have scars all over even on my head and forehead , i also lost 9 teeth and was in ICU for one week unconscious. It is a very traumatic experience and my kids were very affected no one thought i was going to make it im using crutches to move from area A to B and unemployed because of a drunk Indian guy who bumped us from the back on N1 because he was drunk and overspeeding.I was thrown onto the freeway the door of the car came out because of too much pressure from the impact I was in a government hospital for 3mnths and because of a big wound that needed skin graft on the same leg i couldnt get the Patella fixed now my leg cant bend n i must attend some painfull physio to learn to bend my leg before i can have an operation. The guy never got even a scratch n he is living his normal life when im stuck on the bed and cant even work for my kids as a single mom. Im so angry and the guy has never even checked on me. I dnt even know how long Physio will take before i can bend my leg and have an operation. 90 percent of the nurses were horrible but i appreciate a few and the doctors were very kind. People must stop drinking and driving its very irresponsible

The majority of health professionals in public hospitals, especially nurses, do not really care. It looks as though they were forced to choose their profession. It doesn't look like it's a calling. Some of them even let patients die because they hold grudges against patients. This is heartbreaking.

Found my self taken back by this interview, 2019 my husband was involved in a car accident, taken to Tembisa hospital, with fractured pelvic bone, he was only given panadi for a whole week..had to sign refusal of treatment and hired an ambulance to take him to Tambo , where he was taken extra care of...2021 we were both involved on another accident we were both taken to Witbank hospital what a nightmare it was, Drs didn't even know what they were doing, they bandaged the wrong leg i was not even checked, he was thdn transfered to Middleburg hospital another nightmare , he was there for 3 weeks his health was getting worse..had to do the same thing sign refusal of treatment and hire an ambulance again , he was admitted at Tambo for about 2 months where he was treated with dignity and respect.. he was left seriously disabled...public hospital are bad but not all of them.

Sis Relebogile, I'm suggesting you do an interview with someone who works in government hospitals/department/SAPS or whatever so that these people who vote for this government can stop complaining about it's employees without understanding what it's like to work in those conditions. I'm sick and tired of the comments from the public blaming employees working in despicable conditions and expecting them to give them 6 star treatment when they don't even have working resources. There is nothing more frustrating then working in government, get treated like garbage by management and have to deal with unhappy public, and still be expected to smile and be happy because someone paid for a service. It's an insult for people to think we must operate like robots just because of a salary. People must vote better, for better government and better services don't insult government workers just because you're an ignorant irresponsible citizen. Thank you...❤

Lol being overworked makes these so called public nurses & doctors behave like they do? Please when you come to work, leave whatever you're dealing with at the at ko gating ya mmereko especially when you dealing with people.

A bunch of you like to speak on things you know nothing about. Public health workers lack resources, underpaid and also have to deal with different folks. As if you guys don't live in South Africa.

This is her story, I don't think it is necessary to name all the people who helped her. She did say that family helped her, so Somizi is part of that family. Let us try to be empathetic, she has been through soo much.

@@mavislindiwe4738 you absolutely right. Internet people are so insensitive. She said family members put money together, so she now expected to name one family's members name

@@mavislindiwe4738 absolutely right, people hear what they want to hear, @Dikoliza Skk was waiting for name dropping the entire episode and got disappointed when that did not happen. What a shame

When Somizi contributed, he was not doing so to be named every 2 second Palesa speaks about the accident and is not the only person that helped. I know he also contributed and that came from Palesa's mouth but she spoke about it at a different setting for different reasons. Somizi is family to her, they are coparent and a friends.
