A Ducky Allegory

My artist’s statement:
This video is intended to be a schmaltzy narrative of a tightly knitted (school) community who makes impromptu preparations for an approaching crisis, manages the storm while maintaining a safe distance and eventually reunites in celebration of their teamwork and virtual connectedness.
I imagined the Trojan-green tangle of twine tethering the ducklings as a metaphor for the sudden dependency on the internet and Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) laptops to sustain social/emotional connectivity and educational continuity.
The music is from MDIHS pep band and show choir performances and the voices are those of our ducklings. Dan:)
