The story is about Millli, a little bear girl who wants to buy time for her parents. Then they could work and read a picture book to her at the same time. But where do you get time?
To carry out her plan, Milli first goes to the Dorgerie market, but the seller rudely sends her away. So she sets off into the forest, hoping that animals can sell her time. And so Milli's adventure begins - which almost ends in a drama - but luckily it ends well, like in a fairy tale, so to speak.
The animation is intended primarily for children and especially for my little granddaughter.
and here is the story in German.
• Ein Märchen von der Ze...
I structured the story like a kind of picture book with text. In fact, this is the first time I've used speech in one of my animations and have animated lip movements in direct speech.
Since I don't have a professional speaker available and a computer voice is not suitable for this purpose, I read it myself and tried to speak as understandably as possible. :) That means I had to read the text x times until I was somewhat satisfied.
And so this animation was a kind of adventure for me too. I had no idea how tedious it would be to combine speech with animation, even if lip syncing was relatively easy because my characters basically just make simple mouth movements. But I found it very challenging to adapt the flow of images to the flow of text - or vice versa. That's why the whole thing took even longer than my last animation. To make matters worse, I had to struggle with technical problems, which I was able to largely solve in the end.
Some of my figures come from my own production, such as moles, hamsters and sheep. For the bear family I was able to use Blenderkit and for the fox and the owl I used blendswap. (My heartfelt thanks to the modelers). I modified and re-rigged the characters for my own purposes.
