The scenery is so amazing there, great views from the top. We went to Ullswater last September,our first trip to the lakes. Sadly we didn’t get around to doing the boat trip. You looked pretty fit to me Athena,that looked like a pretty long journey you completed. Love the fact you are still doing what you love with baby an all xx

Really enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery you see. The cloud shadows skim your mountain tops like they do here. Rosy cheeks gave the chill in the air away. Glad the day warmed up for you. Great video, we started our girls hiking when they were two, it was just a short four mile hike & now they’re 13 & 14 & completed Scafell Pike a couple of weeks ago. They love hiking & still have a real passion for it.

I can't get enough of these beautiful UK landscapes. In the last few months I have seen the series Shetland, All creatures great and small in Yorkshire Dales, obsessed with drone videos and documentaries of the Hebrides, Celtic and Gaelic culture which led me to discover Julie Fowlis and now I listen to her music all time. I traveled south with Doc Martin and the beauty of Cornwall in Port Isaac and in the last few days I've been enjoying some episodes of This Farming Life in Scotland and the north of England. And all this is thanks to your KZbin channel. I may not be able to visit your country in person but you have taken me to all these wonderful places which I now love. One of our favourite days out in the Lakes, that boat ride to Howtown is amazing but bloody freezing most of the year :-) The drone footage on this one really hits new levels of superb! We have done this several times but kept to the low level path, not gone over Place Fell yet, you video makes me want to do so though.

Place Fell is a fantastic place to explore & there's lots of Red Deer in that area. I remember my last visit, leaving the summit & 5 minutes later turning around to look back at the trig point to see 2 stags standing where I had been. Aife is so cute but I'm afraid she was outdone today by Oslo in a cagoul !! Great video Athena & yes it is tough but you both seem to be handling it really well xx

Hehe Oslo in a cagoul is definitely a winner! Someone told us about the red deer here but we weren’t able to go in Autumn as it was when Aífe was born! Maybe this year 😊

What a result. I'd just sat down with a coffee and your video popped up. I walked Catbells last summer (too busy to really enjoy it fully) but I did adore the start and end of the hike taking the boat across Derwent Water. We'll be back in the Lakes again this summer so after watching this video, Placefell with the boat ride will likely happen as it looked fab. So pleased that you guys were able to make it to the summit, just a shame about the terrible April Fools joke with the tea rooms! Your shot at 14:25 was just STUNNING 😍 I am insanely excited to watch your Isles of Scilly video(s)? as I've got a trip planned there too. Will be really interesting to see what you get up to and maybe steal some ideas!

I tend to watch many videos like yours but always they have to have a dog . I have said goodbye to many furry friends over the years . I am 70 now and my heart wont stand any more . Seeing Oslo on the moors there blending in . I just think of all my dogs over the years with a lump in my throat . Look after them all

So much wonderful scenery. I have a shelf full of books on the Lake District, but when you finish yours I will definitely be one of the first to purchase it, Athena. I often wonder what Aife's earliest memories will be as she grows older, don't you? Will it be the mountains, the ride on the steamer, the blue of the Lakes and sky, or maybe just hanging out with mum, dad and Oslo?!

Haven't been to the lakes since before covid . Will try to get across the next time I am back in the UK. The colours are a lot different to the Sierra Contraviesa on which I live although some of the North East of the Sierra Navada can have a bit of a Cumbria/ Snowdonia look .lovely video as usual .

Athena It’s also so important that you rest, stop, cut you lots of slack, your daughter it’s sourcing from you not just. Milk, thoughts, emotions, energy. That is so easy for mothers to get burned out, and even more for the sports life and work life that is your lifestyle.

Absolutely 🙏🙏 I do rest a lot actually, we tend to do just one hike a week at the moment which is great for my mental and physical health but the rest of the time we just do short walks at home and I enjoy playing with Aífe and baby groups. It’s definitely all about balance 😊
