Using fold over elastic works great for finishing off a neckline.

What a beautiful family! I need to make another Cadence some day soon! I'm sewing my Summer Caye pants now. All I have is the waistband and the hem. I'm saving them for tomorrow, I am a little nervous about the waistband.

Waistbands are always reason to pull out the seam ripper for any reason. I mark on the waistband with an arrow what side goes on the the pants as soon as I cut them and that’s reduced my seam ripping time. Thank you so much 😊 for watching.

I purchase satin bias tape in bulk from Peru. I’m sure it can be found in the US online. Otherwise, if I have scraps, I make my own and actually prefer that. Thanks for watching 😊.

It’s a rayon twill. A heftier rayon with drape. Yes, medium knits are mentioned as a possibility with sizing down. I love how easy it’s to sew and wear and will be making more when I need relaxed sewing time 😄.
