There's a slight flaw since we have to be told that black's most recent move heading into the puzzle was not d5. If it was, then cxd5 e.p. is the winning move for white.

everymove is forced i didnt understand entirely the comment d5 is played by white and he taked with c pawn at 2:16 what move do you want to play?

@@ChessFinalzero Only a perfectionist like me would care, but if black's last move right before the puzzle position was pawn to d5, then than white's c-pawn can capture black's d5 pawn En Passant (cxd5 e.p.), and as a result white's pawn ends up on d6. Mate would follow two moves later. The puzzle requires the player to know that cxd5 e.p. is not playable.

There is only one first move for white to prevent a stalemate. Each move is the same until black can take c6 with b7. After that you bring your king into the game. If black won't take white's b6 and allow you to queen your a pawn, then protect your b pawn, and sacrifice your a pawn, and queen your b pawn. All very obvious.

You removed the Bishop from the original puzzle :) Or was the Bishopversion just the advanced one? Not sure about it ^^
