My father was diagnosed with early stage skin cancer at 24 before I was born. He was able to seek treatment and was in remission for another almost 20 years. His cancer came back as melanoma when I was around 12, and within two years spread to his brain and killed him. I can’t describe the helplessness I felt as I slowly watched my father deteriorate. In 1980 I had developed a black mole on my stomach that was growing and the psychiatrist I was working for said I had melanoma and needed biopsy. The diagnosis was malignant melanoma on my abdominal wall. Doctor told me it was was very unlikely I would survive it and as I drove home alone my body shook uncontrollably. I was 22 years old. I remained home from work for 3 days and just lay in bed visualizing non stop the poison cancer leaving my body flushing out and following my surgery the surgeon told me he removed all the cancer and I didn’t even need radiation. I have a very deep large square around abdomen and every day I’m grateful to be here. Since the melanoma, I have had 7 skin cancer surgeries basel cell and squamous and had another biopsy today on a new red spot of 5 months. I was the kid at the beach applying all baby oil and no sunscreen, piles of blisters from sunburn etc and this is the consequence. I hope everyone reading this will get to dermatologist annually for a full check (earlier If red spot that doesn’t heal in months, or new mole growth) and wear a hat and sunscreen. Keep safe 🙏

Thanks for sharing your story. I was a kid who hated to get sunburned but thought "its done!" and then the rest of summer would be fine. Roll into my 40s and a girlfriend thinks I should get someone on my back checked. I never look at my back. Well I go see a dermo and he cuts out five areas of various sizes. Damn. And so at the end of every summer I have to see him. This year there was a pimple bleeding on my nose. I told him it wasn't alarming because it wasn't irregular. He said anything that bleeds for more than a month is not healing. Cut it out. It was "undifferentiated cells". So over 20 years there is always some chaos.

I myself have had over 60… yes 60 skin cancer surgeries covering my whole body and having to remove my whole lower lip and have it rebuilt. That one was extremely painful for over a week. So many nerve endings in the lips. Right now I have cancer in several spots and am due to see Dr. I’ve been lucky through all of this that none of them yet have been Melanoma and I pray I never have to deal with that crap. Blessings to anyone that’s been through this stuff…🙏🏻

Ya same but I only have had my dad die my grandpa and my uncle my dad died when I was three and my grandpa and uncle later on
@TheZephyrsWind6 жыл бұрын
I agree. My dad, several uncles, and friends were all cancer victims who didn't live. My dad got it 2 times. First time they removed half a lung to get rid of it. Though, we were poor and had no insurance, so they wouldn't do CAT scans or anything every month or so like they should afterwards. This led to a year later where he found he had cancer all through his body as it had traveled through his lymph system to the stomach, liver, and other places. He died 9 months later. Movies don't show how serious cancer is! They just show it like it's something painful and that's all, before death. What i saw was my dad turn from a loving, caring dad into a man who I didn't recognize at all. He forgot about me, and would get very violent (but was too weak from the cancer to actually hurt my mother or I). His memory was nearly gone completely. His appearance changed so much that he didn't resemble himself, with a bloated face, skin that tore as easily as wet paper, and so on. It's a terrible thing. What caused his cancer was smoking and exposure to asbestos for years.

@@xandercreates6766 There's still the risk of infection. Surgeons "autoclave" (google it) all their instruments before using hem and they have very strict rules during surgery lol. Limit talking. Once you face one side, you must not face another side because it's considered "dirty". Also, you cannot cross your arms(?) because your elbows are not considered clean or sterile.

@@zad_rasera I don't know where you got that information. Surgeons should talk a lot so they can communicate well with each other and also it prevents tiredness. They have face masks on that prevent droplets to fall into the wound. You can turn around as much as you want in the operating room as long as you don't touch anything or let anyone touch you. You wear a sterile cloak while during surgery. The safest way to hold your arms while you're standing around is crossing your arms or holding them at the height of your chest. Everything below or above is considered not sterile. As soon as you touch something not sterile you have to get rid of the protective gear and get desinfected and wear new stuff again.

@@JoosepP-uh1zt Depends on what type of white people you're talking about. For the most part, only nordics and anglos get sunburned. Other caucasians with less pale complexions can handle UV rays since their skin doesn't burn but tans for the most part. (although excessive exposure can fuck them up aswell). Either way, sunscreen is always useful.

Except the science is bs. Kemo is mustard gas. Radiation is just that radiation. So it would be better in old days and less deadly to bleed out a flu. And fact. Nearly everybody has cancer. Most are not affected. Most cancers lay dormant or move to slow to ever effect your life. But they will for a large fee radiation or mustard gas you. If they could cure cancer. Why isnt anyone a 150 yet? Its barbaric medicine and midevil at best. But they charge and perform it like its all good. Try eating right. I mean enjoy steaks and whole foods. Avoid McDonald's and even olive gardens. Take vitamin D or actually its a hormone not a vitamin. But regardless take hormone or vitamin D in the winter months. Avoid injections as the proteins are far more dangerous thah the sun. But mostly expect and prepare to die one day. We all do. Or why have children? You will die.

Farmers are incredible people. God bless them.
@devilsoffspring551911 ай бұрын
We are almost ENTIRELY dependent on them. Look how people have a cow when the Internet packs it in, it's as if their lives are over. Or the electricity goes out and we're in the dark. Even showers and flushable toilets better work or we panic. To say nothing about motor vehicles! But none of those things are mission-critical, they're little more than conveniences and distractions! They aren't necessary for life. But with the number of people on the planet, if all the farmers quit their jobs the humans species is in the most dire shit of its life.
