The two victims will not be able to testify, but you are interested in the guy with the wounded arm, for a reason that neither of us escapes. Stop creating your confirmation biases. Kyle carried the gun from him that day and was looking forward to using it. The context came in and he didn't hesitate. That is the attitude of a murderer.

@@dudemountain6689 You really didn't take time to learn the facts of this case, that's evident. The police should have stopped the rioters, but they didn't. It was proven in court he had the right to LEGALLY be there with a legal firearm and attempt to protect his relatives property. When someone (a convicted felon) attacks you and idiotically tries to grab your gun from you and you defend yourself and shoot them, or someone hits you in the head twice with a weapon (the skateboard) and you defend yourself and shoot them, or when someone (with no right to carry a concealed weapon in any case) ADMITS in court he pointed his illegal gun at Rittenhouse first, before Rittenhouse shot him (that was his testimony during the trial and the prosecution’s video confirmed all of this) then Rittenhouse had the right to defend himself. I believe Kyle had good intensions of going to the riots (not peaceful demonstration by “protestors” as the moronic media would have us believe) to protect his grandparent's gas station. But I also believe he erred in going to the riot with a weapon. Whatever his intent, that is clearly what he should not have done. But legally he had the right to do it. Look at the videos of the Rodney King riots in LA (like Kenosha, not a peaceful protest but a riot) and the ONLY businesses black, white and ethnic, not looted and burnt to the ground were those being protected by Koreans standing outside and on the roofs, protecting their property and their future with AK-47’s. The prosecution in this case was more than inept, but in the end the jury was correct in their decision. Let's understand what happened that night: pro·test/prōˌtest/ a statement or action expressing disapproval of or objection to something ri·ot/ˈrīət a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd. These rioters simply wanted to loot and burn cars and buildings. If you want a peaceful protest rally, don't invite violent rioters. Here’s Wikipedia assessment of the damage the rioters did. [City property valued at $2 million was destroyed by rioters, including garbage trucks, street lights and traffic signals.[5] Kenosha's mayor requested $30 million in aid from the state to cover the extensive damage.[68] Damage to private property could be as high as $50 million, according to estimates from the Kenosha Area Business Alliance. This includes the 100-year-old Danish Brotherhood Lodge which was burned down when 40 buildings were destroyed and an additional 100 buildings damaged.] On October 2, 2020, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives released photos and videos of suspected arsonists, offering up to $5,000 reward for each person identified.]

He though he was invincible with that thing and felt like he should play Sheriff. He got himself into something that was way too big for him. When you’re openly carrying a rifle the way he did in the middle of a very heated situation surrounded by aggressors, there will be shots fired which is just completely irresponsible. All that while being 4 years away from legally buying a beer. That’s the impression I get from the footage I’ve seen. You seen confident in your statement so there's no point to contradicting it, though i would like for you to notice that law enforcment was attempting to enforce the curfew onto the protest demonstrators, while somehow failing to enforce it on the so called "militia." On top of this, we have video evidence of law enforcment showing their gratitude to the "militia." This leads me to believe that the people at fault for the shooting are Rittenhouse's parental gaurdians, and the law enforcment that failed to difuse the situation. I do believe that minors should never be tried as adults, therefore Kyle Rittenhouse should recieve the punishment that a child would for the crime he commited, though I believe that the officers in charge should recieve seviour punishments, along with the parental gaurdians, who allowed their child to posses a firearm, and drove him to Kenosha. Finally, she video evidence we have that shows the police expressing grattitude toward the "Militia" shows further evidence that law enforcment took part in misconduct during the proceeding of January 25th. The fact is that a police offiicer's job is to keep peace amongst civillians, not encourage violence amongst them.

No. It was a collective of opinions from bystanders, militia & protestors that the media couldn't have coax in any way. All those interviewed, with the exception of the sheriff, experienced first hand, tensions escalating & leading up to the gunfire, lived through the hellish 10 or so minutes & I'm sure the aftermath was upsetting for them too. Seeing how the police didn't react to the situation until the next day. No one can fake those emotions regardless how much time has passed. Imo all of them gave genuine account of that day even Hubert's gf didn't sugar-coat it. She said he went running after the gunman & she knew he shouldn't have & tried to stop him. She had no intentions of skewing public opinion. No one can give a candid recall better than those who lived through it and the video shows Rittenhouse getting attacked & NONE of the interviewees said he wasn't. So where's the lie?? Rather the sheriff lied multiple times about the interaction btn the police & armed civilians & Ryan Balsh & the video exposed that. He tried to cover up, as best as he could, the police biases towards the militia or at the very least justify it.

You’ll need to seek out independent journalists who you thoroughly vet to be non biased with full research of any and all of their claims with provable facts. The problem is, 99.9% of the population doesn’t do that and reads a headline from their chosen media outlet and blatantly believes it. We have to do better as a society and teach each other how to properly fact check and promote truly non biased independent journalism.

I don’t think people have “seen the whole thing,” nor do I think they’ve heard the whole story. Instead, they’ve chosen sides, because of politics; it’s all about the culture war. If you’re on the side of Republicans, he’s not guilty and it’s self defense; if you’re on the left side of the fence, he’s guilty -> and he’s a white supremacist, who went there looking for someone to murder. I’m not sure why Tucker Carlson is mentioned here, I’ve watched all the videos taken by the reporters who were in Kenosha when the riots happened, and when Kyle shot those 3 men, and I never saw Carlson in one video, or heard of him being there. I think the NYT did a better job about all of this right after it happened. They got almost all of the reporters in their office, reviewed their videos, interviewed most of the reporters who were on the ground when it happened, and did a good job of unbiased reporting on what happened that night in Kenosha. I’ve also watched most of the reporters who were there that night interviewed on podcasts. That’s where I get my opinion from; not from my politics, or Tucker Carlson, what the news tells me to think, etc… And the judge in this trial just made a judgement that none of the people who got shot that night can be called victims.

Kind of glossed over a few important details that were readily accessible within hours of the incident, Kyle's father lives in Kenosha, for starters. The unmodified rifle (length) he carried was also from Kenosha, so never crossed state lines nor was/is it illegal for a 17yr old to carry that firearm in Kenosha Wisconsin. Kyle was on video taken earlier that day cleaning up graffiti, then again in the hours before the attack explaining that he had First Responder training and was willing to help people from all sides. While individuals from both groups were shown being aggressive towards one another it wasn't until Kyle assisted in extinguishing a dumpster fire that the rioters had started near a gas station that Joe went charging after Kyle. They didn't want him to disarm after he heard gunshots. They wanted him to disarm after he killed a person. He left the scene instead of waiting for law enforcement. If the other side was armed, he would have been immediately targeted and justifiably so.

The sad thing is that authorities in many cities allowed looting, vandalism and arson for political purposes. It was a betrayal of law, of civil rights and of the fundamental contingencies of civilization.

Left out that he was first chased by Rosenbaum, stomp-kicked by another man as soon as he fell (from skateboard hit) while running to police, didn't shoot Gage until the gun was pointed at him, and turned himself into the police station that night (after police on the road passed and sprayed at him). Details like that really do matter to people who would otherwise want revenge on him and the justice system.

The punk shouldn't have been there in the first place. 17 yr old punk should have just watched anime if he was smart enough to understand anime, or been watching TikTok videos. Minding his own business which poor little guy didn't have any excitement so he went out and murdered. Now he has a ton of excitement to deal with.

Schools there have had to switch back to mask policies because kids and staff were getting COVID. 200 in one school and the same at other schools. The School Board reinstated masks had to be worn inside the building. There was an uproar by non-maskers in the parking lot yelling threats. Masks were worn about a month? worn until last week. Mask policy is now at the choice of the individuals. I live in Florida where it's a mess. Money and time being spent on lawyers of both sides. Sadly, one side is the schools who really don't have enough money anyway. Counties ordered masks and other policies during most of Covid ignoring the Governor. Our businesses reopened and life returned to our streets. The Governor was furious so he wrote a new law: During a pandemic or statewide emergency only the GOVERNOR and his staff will make the decisions for counties and the state. He's trying to take money from the Public School Budget when a school mandates masks. It's in the Courts. Talk about take over and control all the elected and appointed officials everywhere in the State. He's made all Covid data taken at hospitals and county health be sent to his office. There it's lowered and not reported nationally. 🙁

@@LillianArch You're a liar. I live in Florida too and you are a liar. The entire argument here has been about mandates. No one, including DeSantis, is saying don't wear a mask, we are saying that you should have the freedom to wear one if you want to and don't if you don't want to. Simple as that. The counties having their school board paychecks cut are ones that issued mask mandates despite a lawful executive order telling them not to. The same goes for the vaccine. If your mask or vaccine protects you, why do I need one for your protection? If your mask or vaccine doesn't work, why should I submit to something that doesn't work? It's about retaining individual freedoms, not politics.

While I don't doubt it did not help the situation, my guess is that things would have turned out much the same. Rittenhouse was not about to get away from that guy, and if he got caught, would have been put in the hospital. I don't think he had any good options at that point.
