Hi Salvatore. Thanks for the feedback. You can use this template but it would be partially adapted. The other template which can be found here kzbin.info/www/bejne/oF67ln2jZ558adk would fit better as it is more dynamic and contains more products. Since a restaurant would require the production of raw food into ready meals, a typical template would include such. I don't have a ready template at the moment but will construct and upload it as soon as I have time. For the time being, you can use the other template, but you need to insert the total cost of a meal and its price directly into the template. Hope this is helpful and good luck with your project.

+Sam Sab Hi Sam, thanks for the feedback. True that I can remove the protection of the workbook, but this would affect the reason for which the tutorial was created: learning by practice. It would take no more than 1-2 hours to replicate the template used. Creating the plan yourself would allow much more understanding about the feasibility study so that you can modify it according to your needs much more effectively. I am happy to assist you in the process if you face difficulties.

Hi Rachael, so sorry for the late reply. Yes, I do. Actually, you can use the same concept. For the major part of the study, this template can be used. The main difference is that you have to treat the sales (products) and costs differently, because the business would be selling mostly service. This, however, requires a structural modification. I am now in the middle of a project that will take a little of time. I shall make a tutorial on a feasibility study for a service company as soon as I can.

Hi Aeyel, yes I do. It depends what type of car parking company you are looking for. Generally speaking, if you mean a company, which makes available car parking spots, you may use this simple template as a start. For example, If you are buying the parking space, you insert the cost in place of the company car, and set the depreciation to 0. If you are renting the parking space, you add it to the office rent. Basically, your are selling service. So, you insert the product price, and set its cost to 0. These are just starting guidelines. Good luck with your project.

It depends on the type of service. The easiest solution (concerning this template) is to treat the products (computers) as the service products you have, and change their costs accordingly.

You are most welcome. In real life, both terms are often used interchangeably. Normally, a feasibility study is conducted in order to determine the feasibility or viability of a certain project. This is usually done with the aim of commencing the project only in case it proves to be feasible. A business plan, on the other hand, is usually prepared with the aim of moving forward with a certain project in any case. Hence, a business plan is set after a certain project proves to be feasible on papers; i.e., after preparing a feasibility study. That is, the feasibility study is the base. Moreover, we can prepare a feasibility study, and carry on in implementing the project with just the input (assumptions) we used. In this case, the feasibility study will serve as the business plan itself.

If Excel specifically is the least recommended, you may use another spreadsheet program such as open office calc or google sheets. However, if you are looking for a program where you are just given a form to fill, I can't recommend any because I haven't tried them. I think there must be such services available because they are not technically difficult to make for someone familiar with programming.

Sure, but could you please advise where you exactly got this number from? In general, the numbers just follow the calculations. Is't possible you missed the net working capital (NWC)? Because we have to add it at the end.

+sarfraz rai Hi Rai, the purpose of the tutorial is to show how to conduct a feasibility study rather than passing a ready template. Generally speaking, a business plan for a service company requires less work to be done from a technical point of view as there is no inventory related work needed (schedule, BS...). I might publish another tutorial on how to complete a feasibility study for a service company soon, but if you fully understand the materials discussed in this video, you should be able to complete a study for a consulting company.
