I agree with you on most of that but I think the ending might be a little different then you think. I believe this because of the line "Oh, happy daggers I have hidden,set me free." "Oh, happy dagger." was the last thing Juliet said before killing herself with Romeo's knife upon finding him dead. and also the ninja culture is strick and cruel, she never would have been aloud to run away with him without dire punishment, so she ran away with him to the only place she knew they could be together, the only way she could truly free of her life. ergo, she killed him, then killed herself. though this is just my theory.

Just for fun, I wrote a short story based on the song: Once upon a time there was a fifteen year-old girl in modern-day Tokyo. Her parents were super strict and made her study a lot and attend night classes so she could get into a good college, even though what she really wanted to be was a mangaka and date boys and hang out with friends like a normal teenage girl. She skips one of her night classes and goes instead to a festival, where she meets a boy in a blue yukata who happens to be in the same grade as her. She develops a crush on this classmate of hers but her mother tells her no and says she can't get a boyfriend until she finishes school. This girl is a great artist and has a vivid imagination, so she imagines/draws herself as a kunoichi (ninja girl) in ancient Japan descended from a ninja clan. She makes up this whole story in her head based on her real life, where this kunoichi wishes to be normal and falls in love with a guy, even though her ninja parents tell her kunoichi can't love. One day the kunoichi skips training at the dojo and goes to a festival, where she meets a boy (her classmate) and falls in love with him. The kunoichi tries to go visit him at his residence, but the gatekeeper stops her (in real life the gatekeeper is a teacher and the boy's residence is the classroom where his after school club meets on a weekly basis). She tries to seduce the gatekeeper but fails miserably, and then the merchant's daughter (aka one of the girl's classmates) walks over and whispers to her that she also has a crush on the boy. The "merchant's daughter" tells the kunoichi to just give up, because the boy is hers, which lights a flame in the kunoichi's heart and causes her to declare that the merchant's daughter is her rival. Then, later on, the kunoichi is failing in her ninja training and struggles to complete assignments (in real life the girl is failing her studies and struggles to complete homework assignments). The kunoichi receives an assignment to assassinate the boy, and in real life the girl's parents tell her to stop pursuing the boy. Finally the kunoichi makes up her mind and approaches the boy with her daggers. In reality, the "daggers" are her love and the girl confesses her feelings to the boy and shows him the manga she's been working on about the kunoichi. The boy accepts her love confession and the two start dating in spite of the girl's parents' protests. Meanwhile, the comic also gets a happy ending with the boy and the kunoichi running away together after the kunoichi warns the boy that someone wants to assassinate him. The song ends with a drawing of various doodles the girl has drawn, and her "daggers" aka her art pencils resting on top. There is one final image of the kunoichi and the boy holding hands, symbolizing a happy ending for both the couple in the manga and the girl and boy in real life.

ok i'm actually pretty sure she kills him... the ending with the hands probably means nothing thats just her fantasy of what should have happened. quotes and stuff that led me to believe this: 1. 3:23 "i love and want to love *but* no it's no allowed. *Thats the fate that my life is destined to pursue*" (as in my destiny is not to love) 2. 3:39: "all *happy* daggers i have *hidden* *set me free*"(okay this one is a bit harder to understand. 'happy daggers' are meant to represent her happiness -which would be to love- and set me free might mean that she killed herself, or that she thinks after she kills him she'll eventually forget) 3: 3:46: "ninga girl, time to love *in a ninja way* (ninjas aren't aloud to love, so there's technically no way to love in a ninja way. Meaning 'it's time to forget my love') and like i said, I think the paper with the colored pencils represents all of her feelings, dreams, and wishes. NOT reality. ... of course, that's just my opinion. He could have survived.

It probably meant more that she had to take training seriously in the early years when it would be easier for her to learn the arts of stealth and such, and that she should wait to find love later in life. And if she did, she would be restricted only to other ninjas; her mother probably met her father as a fellow ninja doing a job together or competing against each other, and hopes her daughter will fall in love that way too. it's the only way to avoid having the exact situation that happens in the song; You can't fall in love with a civilian, because one day you might get contracted to kill that civilian.
