This is what a date would be like if men treated women with absolute equality....

You people missed the point. This is exactly how women treat men. This doesn't apply to all women by the way, just the huge majority.. Women: 1. expect men to pay for their meal 2. expect men to chaperone them around 3. never let a guy express his opinion and frequently talk over guys. 4. always rely on a man to make plans 5. refuse to let a guy cuddle or share their snacks at the movies 6. always get their preference of movie to watch while the guy has to grin and bear it The fact you people are calling the guy in the video an asshole is exactly the reaction the sketch hoped to receive. It also proves how narrow sighted and blinkered you all still are despite the fact times have changed. THAT is what this video is trying to explain, if you were with a friend it would be very different, but men have to deal with this every time they take a woman on a date. How is that equality?

Mark Jackson Women: 1. expect men to pay for their meal Not feminists 2. expect men to chaperone them around Not feminists 3. never let a guy express his opinion and frequently talk over guys. Bullshit. Again and again studies prove that MEN talk over WOMEN, in work and social situations. Women are now learning to say "Excuse me, please don't interrupt" or "I just said that" and are called bitches for it. 4. always rely on a man to make plans Read what YOU wrote for #6 5. refuse to let a guy cuddle or share their snacks at the movies Seriously? Who the hell do YOU date? Or maybe it's just your offputting attitude. I'm not feeling the urge to share my popcorn or cuddle with you myself. 6. always get their preference of movie to watch while the guy has to grin and bear it So, the man has to make plans, but women get to choose movies. Uh-huh. This explains why chick-flicks are ALWAYS #1 at the box office and action-packed blockbusters that hardly even have female characters do so badly. For example, last Friday's top movies were lead by the super girly Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at #1, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy which has a WHOLE female lead in it, after which is Into the Storm, about that most feminine of activities, storm-chasing. Then there's the Hundred Foot Journey, which made it to #4 even though chicks HATE movies about romance and talking, followed by Lucy, which has a female lead character, so it's TOTES a chick-flick, even though pretty much everyone else in the movie is male and make all Lucy's decisions for her. Actually, seriously, movies with actual strong female characters, movies that pass the Bechdel test, have actually been doing well at the box office, but moviemakers are STILL refusing to make them, despite the fact that stuff like TMNT tanks after the first weekend. Lines like "The Fault in Our Stars" would have done badly if it weren't for teenaged girls doesn't take into account that girl money spends just like everyone else's!

***** WHO THE FUCK BUYS CLOTHES FOR A WOMAN HE'S NOT *REALLY* SERIOUSLY DATING (Guys I've LIVED WITH and the one I MARRIED bought me clothes, but I bought them clothes more often! Other boyfriends, if it wasn't a gifting occasion, maybe the occasional book a record album, but I'd also buy them that kind of thing. I'd think it was weird if a man bought me shoes if we weren't married or damn close)? Most women are still basically "still very sweet" even if they DO give a shit about feminism. The women you describe om the first paragraph, who expect to be taken care of, none of that has feminist principles behind it. That Veronica Lodge (from Archie comics) B.S. isn't cute and it sure isn't feminist.

Must be the girls where your at, I always leave and enter the classroom last, open the doors, give up my seat, get a seat if there is none available for any girl. Not for them, but because I like being the guy who's different and if they complain, which they don't, they say I shouldn't wait for them, but I don't, if you just let it slide and just do what you want, they will eventually accept it. That's how you get all girls sliding into your DM's lol, just be that guy who does whatever the fuck he wants, just make sure it's not stupid shit, hold that door open for everyone, it would make that girl feel less special, it just shows her and everyone that your a fkn gentleman.

+aabbccddeeffgg1234 Obviously, the woman overreacted or already had a chip on her shoulder or is just immature or all three. Maybe she has a mother who taught her to be like this. My parents taught me common courtesy. I wouldn't dare let my mother see me not holding the door for anyone, man or woman. Another thing, there seems to be a bigger divide between women than between women and men. So, if feminism is such a great thing, why aren't all women jumping on the bandwagon as a forceful movement. Women outnumber men in this country and could easily legislate their destiny. Just my 2 cents.

+Nick Skarvig Yep, I like Twilight, I'm admitting it. I like a lot of movies though. So it's not like an obsession like it is for 12 year old girls and shit, but hey, they were fairly entertaining. They are very feminine in nature as is 50 Shades of Gray and The Hunger Games. I think 50 Shades degrades women, really, as do many sex novels, but Twilight and the Hunger Games, I do like. I like the Hunger Games way more. I am a big fan. I'm a guy.
@nickskarvig8925
@nickskarvig8925 8 жыл бұрын
BW I think that 50 shades of grey is an expression of women wanting to feel like they can lose control in (ironically) an environment where they know they can't be hurt. Most dime store romance novels include a male character that is a little bit dangerous, very handsome, and has some fairly high status (duke, ceo, politician, etc... ok maybe not politician). They sell so well because they appeal to base instincts for mate selection fantasies. So in that sense, they don't degrade women, they instead indulge them. Not a big step up, but a distinction I think worth making. I like the hunger games movies, but I can't stand katness' (worst name ever) personality most of the time. Now that I think about it, I don't like most of the characters. I just like action movies, and it has some nice brutal moments.

Judging from these comments, it seems many aren't understanding the point of this video. This video isn't to show that feminists want a date like this, nor to show what an "A" this guy is. No, the point of this video is to show what the world will be like once women have absolute equality. Personally, I don't mind it. I support absolute equality between the sexes, 100%. No, if you want me to pay for everything, but then want to be treated equally afterwards, it's not going to work out. I don't like double-standards. One word in my book describes people who use it: hypocrites. Lastly, what's so "A" about the way the guy is treating the woman? Isn't that what equality is? being able to pay for ones own things, not relying on the other, taking responsibility for out own things/actions?

The disturbing thing about this whole video is lesson that women are unable to take care of themselves, and still need a man to care for them all while still demanding to be given the same things as men. The real Feminist fantasy date is "Hey, I'll meet you there! Ok!" They bond, have fun, enjoy the movie, pay for their own food and drive themselves home, without the woman expecting the man to do all of that for her. If they want to go in the same car, why doesn't she drive in her car? Maybe even a "Hey I'll get dinner, if you get the tickets?" Or "Hey it's cool, I got this." And she pays for it all. Why can't she be the high earner in the fictional scenario?

No, the difference is that the prostitue is honest of what she's about. Dating is gold digging for females. This is their way to find a guy with money, or has a reasonable income to accommodate her buying useless stuff. This is why females seek out guys with flashy stuff and cars. It's always about what the man can do for her. Which is why most western females aren't worth having a relationship with anymore.

I wouldn't title this "A feminist's dream date". And this is why, feminism's goal is to acquire priviliges and entitlements to women without getting rid of all the double standards i.e. keeping the age old institutions of "chivalry". So in this video here, a standard feminist would expect the guy to do everything even though the woman has every means to pull her own weight in this society.

I see. Well I happen to think that many feminists know of their illogical demands and simply cherry pick which parts of "equality" they'll fight for and which parts they'll simply ignore such as you see in this video. I think they're very conscious of the egregious double standards they demand but they just don't care, they want female privilege and supremacy in this society so that's where my frMe of mind was. Now maybe a more brainwashed victim of the feminist rhetoric might see this and change his or her mind a bit, so I can see the point of view that you mean and the uploaded of this title.

You know... This is actually a good idea. How about once a year, men treat women exactly like this! Remind them that us men... we aren't that bad. And that if our girlfriends/ wives were treated like this, they wouldn't like it! Personally, I've never left a date go home alone. Most of the times I pick her up and I always drive her home, or at the least escort her. And what I do won't change.

Isn't the point of a date to spend tone together? Also, the "do dishes for supper"trope is not something that really happens: it's a legal issue and why would you want someone reluctant doing your dishes? Feminists EXPECT to pay their own way, or a deal like "I'll buy dinner if you pay for the movie and popcorn." Plus, the Ferraro quote at the end came true. It was regarding how a second Reagan terms would affect the gains for women's rights. We still have two SCOTUS Justices from that, one nominated by Reagan and one by his VP.

Kevin Klein I guess I just don't date this way. I never assume I'll be paid for --I do know men who are uncomfortable with women paying, and a fair number who will fight to take the check when out to dinner in a group, whereas most of the women I know split it fairly evenly). I've never been with anyone who forgot their wallet, but I have been with someone who didn't realize a place only takes cash, or doesn't take Discover or whatever, and I'm willing to cover. As for me being "triggered," how so? It means having a bad reaction from a past memory, or reacting to something in an old way . Saying hear "This seems unrealistic" or "here's what I've experienced in the real world" hardly seems like a freakout reaction. Re: feminism vs. egalitarianism: Feminism does focus on women's issues, because historically and systemically, in most cases, men are considered the default. However, feminism also helps men overcome toxic stereotypes that are harmful; men can't show feelings except anger,, men are incompetent at taking care of themselves and others, men must be the breadwinners. On this very thread video is a commenter swearing that men never want relationships and that feminists are keeping prostitution illegal. That's an extreme case, but it's been fed by some very toxic and very common ideas.

No woman should ever treat a man the way that man treated the woman in the video, and no man should ever treat a woman the way the guy in this video did. That has nothing to do with feminism, or 'equality'. It's just courtesy. However, I agree with the video that men should not have to pay for a woman's meal or transport. Women who think this are entitled, but often they aren't even feminists.

Haha... I have a buddy whose wife always complained about how her life/ relationship wasn't fair (she worked and then had her duties at the home) and she was a borderline feminist. He got sick of it and created a program that split EVERYTHING down the middle 50/50. Her life became harder and when he could afford holiday vacations and she couldn't... she didn't get to go (wasn't his problem she didn't make a bigger paycheck), when she wanted help with her chores... he didn't help her, split the dinner bill, cooked and cleaned their own meals, laundry... so I mean everything. Half a year later, she begged him to go back to the old ways(been begging for a while actually) where her life was better... he never did because his life was better with a guilt free conscience (it was fair) (which I though was overboard and cruel... I though he just wanted to make a quick point). They got a divorce later (for a few more reasons than this obviously). Goes to show how some women have no fucking idea what true and fair equality is. Just be a woman and accept it ladies. P.S. She got the most in the divorce... he still leads a richer and happier life than she currently does... all because she wouldn't stop whining about shit she had a false perception about.

I used to pay for a lot of the dates I went on with my gf. After she got a job, we started paying for our own things. It sets a foundation for respecting each other and ourselves. Of course she doesn't have her wallet on her sometimes; and vise verse. It's not like you have to be a complete dick in these situations to be equal. He could have covered her this time and asked her to pay for the next date. I will say that if she (the girl in the video) just assumed he would pay for everything on the first date without even asking; she's at fault.

Exactly, and even when friends drive each other it's considered normal to drop off or pick up your friend if you are the one with the car and the other person doesn't have a car (maybe they are poor). Most people don't expect others to chip in on gas unless they are hugely out of the way, and in the video the girl did not live out of the way. The video was funny but the problem came down to expectations; I got the impression the girl had a fun time and she wouldn't have minded the guy's requests if he had been more up front as to his expectations for who would pay.

I once went on a date with a girl and I told her before hand how I didn't have much money at the moment so I'd only be able to pay for myself, which she seemed okay with. When the bill came she got really quiet and when I pulled out the money for my meal she said, "Oh.. Did you want me to pay for mine?.." After sitting in an awkward silence for a minute or so I just shoveled the rest of my money out of my wallet to avoid anymore bullshit. This is kinda like the Rape Fraud thing. If men should be considered rapists for lying to get into your pants, then women should be charged as prostitutes for pulling shit like this.

Prince Davis Only in america I guess. :D In my country we just hang out with each other and that way get to know one n other. About 2weeks (give or take) of hanging out and getting to know each other's hopes, dreams and interests then we move on to dating. Even when you start dating the woman pays for her share, don't even have to ask or hint on it. It's just common sense. Later on when it's gotten more serious then we pay for each other when we feel like it or we know that our spouse has no money or not enough of it or barely enough to sustein themselves. I don't understand why in america it's customary to take a woman to dinner on your first date and pay for her. It just gives the woman a free meal if the woman decides that she's not really interested in the man. It has also started a group of women who just dine and dash. From the start they're not interested in the man and so they just go on 1 or 2 dates with a man and then look for their next mark. The majority of our relationships last either forever or for a very long time. Depending on what happens down the road.

***** Well, it's okay to offer a free ride.... But if you're a feminist, it's just not okay to expect a free ride. Most males don't just offer to drive other males to places they want to go, they expect other males to handle their own business. If someone's a feminists, why should they expect to have it any better? Feminism isn't the belief that females deserve better than males, is it? No, feminism in it's purest definition isn't about being nice or courteous, it's a doctrine, a theory, a system, a practice, it's about believing in equality for males and females (females and males). If I were a true feminist, I would stop taking so many damn things for granted. Much would be lost, males would treat females as coarsely as they do other males, but it's all for equality. The male of today does not always have it easy, but I question how well feminists understand that. If females want equal treatment, they'll need to bloody their knuckles and walk down those dark alleyways alone every once in a while. That's not asking too much, it's just feminism.

Ladies, you have to realize that any guy who treats you like crap IS a misogynist/chauvinist/whatever you want to call them. These men need to be told what is right. But men who respect women and treat them right by not making them pay for dinner, by driving them around, by doing all sorts of things for them, by letting them not have a job and stay home, are all doing this out of respect for them. Men who see this as them being better or more powerful than the female in the relationship does not love that woman and is only in the relationship for the control and the sex. I have a girlfriend who respects herself a WHOLE lot and she got pretty close to supporting being full on "feminist" because of her kindness. By "feminist", I mean someone who will gain weight, be rude, have ultra-high standards, and tell everyone else it is THEY who have the problem. I am not speaking of the equality version of feminism that is listed in the dictionary. I have no respect for "feminists", which are women who trying to kill chivalry and/or promote obesity. But back to my wonderfully beautiful, smart girlfriend who got the wrong idea from all of the women around her due to their practically sexist views. It took me a short time to make her realize that her friends all are not actual feminists/egalitarians that they claim to be, but are women who want to just simply switch sides with men. These women want the men to be feminized and demasculated so that they are the female of the relationship. This is the EXACT SAME ISSUE and does not solve anything. A man who comes home and is rude to his wife and demands respect after work is no different than a woman who comes home and is rude to her husband and demands respect after work. True equality would be making women able to do everything that men can do or simply changing the bad things about men into the good things about women. Such as the #freethenipple argument, this is feminist and is just plain nudity. The mammary glands are reproductive organs that have been required throughout history to raise children. The nipples they want to "free" are also sought after by many men who would enjoy seeing them. This hidden "treasure" of sorts makes the female breast a commodity of sorts that can even be used as leverage in terms of a relationship. These are for the men you are with, not for everyone. Instead of trying to make yourself equal to men and change like 5000 years of male sexual attraction to female form, tell men to put a frickin' shirt on. Just call the male nipple nudity. How hard is that? How much less acceptable would that be? It would be just as, if not more acceptable to men than having their WIFE showing off her breasts to everyone. The whole point of all these movements is moving the wrong way if it wants positive attention. "I can be fat." "I can show my nipples." "I can be rude to anyone I want who doesn't like how I am." "I can put myself above others" "I can do all of the work and men should respect me even if I am rude about it." "I can do whatever I want and that makes it all equal." NO. None of this is true. None of it is morally right. Not even in most THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES IS THIS OKAY. We are devolving if this is okay to the public. We are backpedaling. Women, please, just stand against this nonsense. Tell your friends to lose weight and stop pushing early heart failure and diabetes on their children. (I don't mean that as an insult, but a very serious concern for some of these large women who are beautiful but are just, frankly, extremely unhealthy. These women have a higher chance of dying young. They need to shape up. Not for my preference, but for THEIR health.) Tell them to be nice so that they can actually follow the equality norm of "Treat others how you want to be treated." If all women were kind-hearted souls who never insulted or did anything rude or insulting or degrading to men and kept themselves in tiptop shape. It would make us look bad. It would make us feel bad. Women who spoke up would have a beautiful thing to represent... not whatever the monster "feminism" has created. MAKE US LOOK BAD. PLEASE. All women are doing is making men realize they were "right all along" and that women need to be controlled or they will act like this. This is not how women are supposed to act. MEN are supposed to be the savages and the fighters and the heavy lifters of society. Not because women are less capable, certainly not. They can do it if they choose and they should be paid completely equally. I believe in equality, BUT I also believe in chivalry. SO IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO WORK, do not complain to your friends because the men are trying to do it for you and protect you. This is out of his respect for your beautiful fragility and gentleness. He should want to do the work for you. This does not make him smarter than you. Men overall are one track minded and it makes us seem dumb in a whole lot of sensitive situations. This one track mindedness also makes us feel like women are completely insane at times. (Example: My girlfriend says she is mad at me and I should know why. I can only think of one thing, and focus on it alone, at a time. She feels like I should be thinking about everything that is going like she is. This makes me feel like she is crazy because I can't grasp how her mind works. This makes me look very stupid and her very insane.) My point being is that women beat men in a group of ways and are much more capable of certain jobs than men would be. I do not deny that. What I do deny is that women are saying that are better than man in every way. Men DO have strong suits. I know it sounds crazy but men are better in some ways and they even out with women. Men are better at lifting big things like the "savages" we are. Men are found to be better at managing money (Don't freak. Some women are much better with their money than their spouse, but as a whole, women spend more on unnecessary things), having directional skills (I'm bad at directions though so I'm not a good example, but science says so.), saying what we mean (not saying "fine" and meaning everything other than that word), letting things go (every girl will tell me they have a hate for something or someone who they don't like in their life, if they don't, then they are almost extinct, and they are a tomboy), and grilling. Yes, I said grilling because I am proud of that one. "Typical guy", I know. I love being masculine. All of these things make men suitable for a variety of jobs that women would despise and not do very well. ALL I AM TRYING TO POINT OUT IS, both genders should be respected for their own strengths, even if guys don't have the cool "I can think about everything at once" power and women don't have the "I can sit and think about absolutely nothing else but Spongebob right now and it helps me save money." power. They are both useful strengths. If it doesn't feel this way with your husband or whoever you are with, (and he doesn’t think you could be or are as useful or productive as he is) then you are with the wrong man, because this man doesn't respect you or care for you and wants control over you. That man doesn't understand equality and you need to teach him, leave him, and hope he comes back smarter with less of a penis for a brain. I am just so tired of "Feminists". Respect everyone, including yourself and it will come back around to thank you and pay you in full, unlike the current economy. Oh and I am not sucking up to any women with this post. Don't take this kindness as weakness. I appreciate women but I think they are equal to me, not better than me. (Except my girlfriend, she's pretty great.) This is a perfect example of someone completely misunderstanding feminism. This woman is clearly not a feminist, she wasn't prepared to pay for her half of the meal or get herself there. As for the man in this sketch, he was just being rude. I would expect anyone, of any gender to offer to drive their date (again of any gender) home.

Best video on feminism that I've ever seen. Just imagine the woman is a guy and its just two dudes going out. None of this would seem strange. Guys aren't expected to pick up the tab for their buddies, drive when they go out or make all the decisions. Perfect.

The guy isn't an asshole, the girl in the video is for assuming that he would pick up everything for her, it's her fault of what happened to her (i know this isn't real) This is real equality, I'm a women and I completely agree with author of the video. Most women expect the man to do everything and most men put up with it, seriously you men need to stand up for yourselves and let women take advantage of you. and to all the other women out there, start treating men with respect and stop expecting so much from them, you are the asshole if you expect him to pay, him to drive etc.

Some people who call themselves feminists seem to want a total gender erasing and would like this kind of treatment. Other people who call themselves feminists seem to want to maintain traditional gender roles for men but excuse traditional gender roles for woman thus making him a second class citizen. It's hard to know what a person means when they call themselves that. I don't like either of these two options anyways so I "liked" this anyways though I'm not sure what the creator of this is hedging at.

Well it is an extremity of a date as the result of "equality" to show a point. Feminist seem to not want defined roles of the male and the female. Normally, etiquette says the man provides the transportation and pays for the first date. He essentially treats the woman as a princess, opens doors for her, takes his hat off in her presence, stands when she approaches, you know, all that respectful princess treatment. Feminist seemed to want full equalilty, but many wanted to keep the benefits of just being a woman in a man's presence and be made to feel special, traditional romance, which was ok with us men in general, but feminist wanted "equality." Now, they are complaining (again) because they got more than what they bargained for. By the way, you mentioned "generosity." So you shouldn't mind generously paying for the man in full on a date.

inquizative44 Jesus, what sort of dates do you go on? I can only assume you go out with upper-middle class bitches, who are basically gold diggers that expect men to pamper their privileged asses for the rest of their lives, like Daddy did. I've never seen a feminist argue that men should open the door for them. You seem to be confusing different types of women.
@inquizative44
@inquizative44 10 жыл бұрын
Bewildered Ape No, I am making a point of this clip. How the woman assumed that he was going to pick her up, and pay for the date. However, he exemplified equality and how women will not get the traditional princess treatment as a feminist. I don't date feminist but I also don't mind showing a woman a nice time. Again, I think you missed the point of the clip.

#Equality Women and especially Feminists should think twice before whining about imaginary oppression and wanting equality. You are the PRIVILEGED group. Learn to appreciate those privileges and respect men for being so nice to you. Throw that entitlement complex you have away. Men(including myself) love you, don't worry. But just remember respect is something that is earned, not demanded. Don't 'expect' men to treat you like a Princess, although I myself treat girls like a Princess(I plead guilty of being a really nice guy, really nice #Awesome human being #perfect #boyfriend material), but that's because I'm nice, not because they are entitled to it. Men have been 'taught' right from childhood to respect women and be softer towards the 'fairer sex'. We are soft on you, appreciate that. Don't be hard on us, because if you do, then we could do the same, and you wouldn't like it. Be grateful if you are a woman, because you're the privileged gender. If you want equality, then don't be put off by this video, or if this happens with you, because this video SHOWS equality. If you don't want this, and want the traditional way, where men have all the shitty responsibilities, then you should also learn your responsibilities as a woman *cough* get back in that kitchen bitch and make me a sandwich *cough*. How does truth feel like? Does it hurt? It's the truth. It's a good thing, right? #Bottomline Men and women are not equal, never were, and never can be. Trying to make them equal would be playing with nature, going against nature. Stop being ignorant, go read a biology book. Men and women are NOT equal, mentally or physically. Accept it. #Nature I know, lots of hashtags, so what?

This video has nothing to do with feminism. Feminism focuses on law, such as our right to vote. In fact, Feminism only has the right to vote. From our vote we have been able to change laws. However, men tried to make divorces, employment, and such more fair prior to our right to vote, since they wanted them to stop asking for the vote. We asked for equality in legal matters. Like everything accumulated in marriage is 50/50, because prior, everything belonged to the man, even everything she had prior to marriage. There was no such thing as shared custody, men got the kids. There was nothing, and she was forced as a slave and couldn't leave if she didn't have a good husband. Mind you, some husbands were good. Some even let their wives go out and protest for the right to vote. Even though the police officers would watch them be beat by men, and say "you shouldn't be out of the kitchen." and shrug and let the men riot against the protest. The idea of women having votes is still new (less than 100 years old), and the world is still getting used to it. Also the law is still working on how to be fair. It is men and women who must vote to try to establish equality, and to stop bickering. If you don't like something persuade each other. I listen, and I believe you should have fair rights just as I should. We don't know what is being infringed on until we test it. So be patient, and don't hate, but keep voting, and keep raising awareness.

benny good Um, the WHITE man was able to vote since the war. Before that, yes, they had a monarchy, but the Roman Empire practiced democracy. US was inspired by that. Even then, the Magna Carta was a decent set of laws. It actually allowed for women to refuse marriage.

Roman empire invented democracy. It wasn't mastered at the time, but they did invent it... Roman Republic[edit] See also: Roman Republic Even though Rome is classified as a Republic and not a democracy, its history has helped preserve the concept of democracy over the centuries. The Romans invented the concept of classics and many works from Ancient Greece were preserved.[61] Additionally, the Roman model of governance inspired many political thinkers over the centuries,[62] and today's modern (representative) democracies imitate more the Roman than the Greek models.[63] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_democracy
