@@nyccollin Either you're a young person who hasn't studied much history, or an older person who's making a joke. Even if it's the latter I'll explain. John F. (Jack) Kennedy was elected President in 1960 and is widely considered one of our best and smartest presidents. In the 1988 VP debate, Senator Lloyd Bentson (R) was debating Senator Dan Quayle (D). Quayle was considered a dope and the subject of many late night TV jokes. During the debate, Quayle was asked about his lack of experience. His answer was that he had as much congressional experience as John Kennedy did when he ran for president. Benson replied, "I served with Jack Kennedy, I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine - and Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." It was one of the best zingers in the history of American politics.

Your a basket case
@devonwilliams2423 Жыл бұрын
Lmao, he said that right as I read this comment (the basket case thing), which is pretty funny. Honestly, if I had to pinpoint one unique aspect, it’s that Trump is a seasoned businessman. He has spent his entire life closing deals. That’s why I think if anyone could audaciously shake hands with Putin and demand changes, it would be Trump. This isn’t just because he’s a narcissist. It’s also because renown is one of the most sought-after qualities worldwide, especially for a world leader. Trump certainly has that fame. Take Kim Jong-un, for example. He wanted basketball star Dennis Rodman to visit North Korea. Now, imagine having a famous president and celebrity like Trump coming to your country and negotiating specific terms. Trump has built his reputation as a celebrity businessman for the past 40 years, and that has a brainwashing effect that can influence anyone he talks to. These are just my thoughts, and I’m sure they could be easily rebutted. This is just a small fragment of my opinion. I used voice-to-text, so there might be some extra words in there, lol.

Not to mention the moment where Ben Carson missed his original cue to go out on the stage and stood awkwardly in the hallway. I don't know. The thing about Trump as other extra ordinary candidates is they create a vacuum. They create a cult following and actually gut their party from the inside out, at least ideologically. Trump is destroying any conservative candidates that can come after him in such a way that they appear weak and incompetent, probably what they are...Trump is also very old and not particularly healthy, so we aren't looking at a dynasty. He will die and his aura will pass away with him as nobody can replicate him. What will be left behind is a morally bankrupt party that followed the whims of a cult leader, not altogether different from when Obama left office. The democrats at least have ran a relatively unattractive candidate based on some level of principles that can be passed on to others, nobody can be Trump...nobody can hate, threaten, be stupid incompetent in such an obvious way and still have 80 million people vote for them.
