The grading is super cool. Amazing. This looks too big budget, especially with the production design and location. Any tutorial on how you graded these amazing shots

Just start bouncing your LOG edit as a ProRes and grade in Davinci. I'm a DP and edit in FCP and grading in Davinci has honestly changed the way my films look, it's above and beyond the most powerful tool for grading! It's actually very simple once you get your head around everything :)

I use a BMPCC 4K and i would like to know what is the best lens to get that cinematic feel?
@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
Just use soft, or classic lenses, because a digital sharpness kills the cinematic look.

Quick question, on the door scene, why was the 600d backlighting outside & why not raise the room tone
@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Do you mean the scene with the silhouette? If I put the light source inside, I will have flat and not contrast image. The silhouette would be impossible.

Very cool but it would help more if you showed the actual setups, a BTS showing where everything is
@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right, I did it on previous bts. Unfortunately, I had not many backstage materials of this project for showing you more setups.
@Michael-uo1qv
@Michael-uo1qv 2 жыл бұрын
Could these setups where you use the 600d be done with less powerful lights if we don’t have them? Say like a 150w Godox COB lightv?
@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no. I think that you will need at least 300W, working with natural light together.

Hey Andbery! Lovely work again! I am student in your class (everyone should checkout the course - it really distills down the key concepts to master!). I was wondering - will these lighting setups be part of the lighting schemes book guide you had planned to release? And also when will that work be released? Thanks very much!

Saying that soft light look is "cinematic and not cheap". Trying to understand what that is supposed to mean... So does that mean all the movies lit with hard fresnels lights look not cinematic and cheap?...
@ANDBERY
@ANDBERY 2 жыл бұрын
Of course not. Hard and soft light - these are a tool for story and mood. This is not a quality of cool image. In this case, I mean that it's quite simple tip to make a cinematic portrait and make rich dynamic range, using soft light. Because many students ignore hardness of light, and make the light direct and hard, without thinking about softness, which influence on the image quality and dynamic range. As a result, their images look cheap. Just a tip.
Just use this cinematic schemes to Improve your lighting skills
