I am happy they are listening and doing something. Listening is a good thing but actually doing something to move the product forward is the difference. I love that akai moved the force forward and did all the work necessary to make it a viable product. My hopes are they continue to push forward and continue to focus on refinement of the midi features as well as continued workflow refinements. As a product reaches an age where the components inside it are no longer obtainable and we get into a new machine I hope they keep listening to what we are saying about the current unit. Hopefully you will be able to stay open minded and can help them move the product forward.

I only found your channel recently and I have to say your tutorials are by far my favourite, I have been working through your videos, I like the waffle, pacing and the no flashy edits, it feels more authentic because it is. I am stoked for you that you got employed by Akai, but I will definitely miss your videos. I feel you on the bereavement too, and the way you turned something so sad into something positive, it is inspiring, you’re a good soul and I wish you all the best in the future mate. Man.. I wish you all the best on your journey and in general❤ I felt inspired, empowered, motivated and supported by you without a direct contact - I‘d say that is a gift. Never experienced anything like it! Spend some ten hours here with you and your content and when i’ve seen this clip about your goodbye from the Akai tutorials I was so happy for you as your are such a genuinely nice guy with such a warm positive energy. This all said I was also kinda sad as I learned so much from you in such a short time and then again felt su reassured by you saying that everything we need to know is basically somewhere in your videos. Mate I surely hope that I can buy you a beer some day full aware of that fact that this is highly unlikely😂 Can‘t properly state here how important your tutorials where and are to me as I felt proper lost on a journey towards a dream of mine but never felt that I was even capable to make the first few steps - which was kinda sad. That has changed since I watched your videos! Cheers and all the best!

Hopefully you'll learn the art of diplomacy between your totally honest views and Akai's smallprint, and return as a full Jedi one day... Tom, first off, congrats on your Akai role! Just wanted to say I don’t think you should stop doing your own thing on KZbin… Akai don’t own you, they’re hiring your services based on your own output… keep doing it, but just be fully upfront about any affiliations. Look at Ricki Tinez as a good example, he’s been working for Novation/Focusrite while keeping his own brand/channel progressing forward… he’s now started working for Elektron too, proving the value of maintaining his independence. Just a thought anyway, maybe they’ve told you to stop(?)… well, whatever you decide to do, best of luck. ✌️

How you getting on Tom? Wondering if you can help? On my force start up I get message.. out of temporary memory.. I've naively been saving projects to Force drive. Ive copied tfe ones I want to keep to a SD card.. deleated projects ( I created ) and samples ( that came with Force ).. but when I check drive space its still totally full. This is probably simple to fix.. but im lost. From now on im saving anything I do to a SD xard.. From what i gather.. every time I've saved projects to internal drive it copies wav and midi to drive hence the full drive
@nicethings
@nicethings 2 жыл бұрын
Off the top of me head, a couple of things; don't save anything to the OS drive, in fact, don't use it at all; you can have problems when you remove stuff and will have to contact customer support to get the Force content back. If you change the temp folder in preferences to the external SD Card, that will prevent any of that weird stuff - Pref > project load/save. Onwards and upwards!☺️

Well 9f course your going to say Akai is listening despite ALL the evidence to the contrary. Just look at there latest mini keys release. No usb c no blue tooth and no modulation or pitch wheels. …even the advert for it used a 2015 MacBook. They’ve really lost the plot. Oh and still no no update for the Force or even a fix for all the problems that even this guy has pointed out. Working for the company and immediately stopping doing tutorials on the Force says exactly what the company thinks of this machine

I'm sorry your experiences with some of their products are not satisfactory at present, but believe me, they do listen. There's a lot of moving parts (a lot!) In manufacturing technology products, so something that seems simple usually isn't on a mass scale. All I can say is don't wait to be creative, just do it with the things that inspire and bring joy. The rest will come when it's ready😊
