Don't get INTO watches! Leave it to the experts.

Absolutely. If you REALLY know what you are doing... maybe you can do a tiny tiny tiny slight adjustment to the regulation, but beyond that and strap changes stay away leave it to a pro.

I got the back off my Speedmaster Professional with the intent of giving the regulating screw a quick twist to slow the movement down a wee tiny bit. Upon discovery that attempts to lift the internal metal cover off the movement resulted in the entire movement starting to lift out, I came to my senses. I'll be dropping it off with the Omega dealer to have Omega service it. I won't even let my watchmaker touch it. GREAT video, had me in stitches!!!
@Zeus-kj7nn4 жыл бұрын
I was contemplating taking the back of my watch to lubricate one or two cogs, then I stumbled across your video. I put the thing back on my wrist soon after and resisted the urge. Thankyou for the wake up call. I will be literally contacting my watch service guy in Leicester, U.K on Monday.. Subscribed. 👍

Why does everyone accept the ridiculous length of time it takes to have a watch serviced. Rolex can take 2 months other luxury brands even longer. Would anyone accept dropping of your Mercedes at the dealership and waiting 2 to 3 weeks to be told that the service will be a certain price then waiting another 2 months to get the car back. The watch industry needs to come into the modern world.

I know you view Watchfinder & Co. (Gerber knife comment), so if you haven't seen it yet, check out the Submariner watchmaking demonstration. It's mind blowing how many pieces are involved and how a master watchmaker can remember where the all go during re-assembly
