Interesting video. Throughout the video, I kept imagining how scary it must be for the shark; being hauled out of the water into a world where she cannot breathe. I’m glad they were keeping track of how long she was out of the water, and that they used the hoses to give her oxygen. On another note, I don’t think there is anything wrong with tagging. It may only seem like it benefits only humans to learn from these magnificent animals, but being able to track them could also be beneficial to the species as a whole. Tagging may help scientists monitor population growth, and if this species is in danger or flourishing. I’m curious, do they lift other spieces of sharks out of the water like this, like a GW perhaps? Or are they too big and too aggressive?

Why do you hate sharks? Sharks kill 5-10 humans every year. Over 8,000 tons of shark fins are processed each year. The fins only amount to 4% of a shark's bodyweight. This means that some 200,000 tons of shark are thrown back into the sea and discarded. And yet they are vicious, mindless killers?
