Michael Williams plays his role very well indeed. A man lacking in confidence, indecisive, somewhat blundering, but a really nice, decent bloke.

Just watched an interview Judi did with Louis Theroux? she was very teary when speaking of her husband's death - 20+years later. Wonderful woman. Esio Trott is a favourite of mine.

I am enjoying this series again, 40 years after first waching it. It's nice to watch some of the old sitcoms again ... some seem a bit dated nowadays, but others are just as good now as they always were .. this one included. I don't know how many times I have watched 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' but have never watched Hi Di Hi

This episode is worth watching just to see a bottle of milk made out of glass with a foil cap. No nasty plastic.

Nothing better than licking the cream off that foil cap. Yummy.

@@algie-t2w Porridge I love porridge. Especially how my Scottish Granny used to cook it. With a wee bit of brown sugar on top.

@@jsi4064 It sounds as though your granny was a credit to her fellow Scots - being one myself. Best Wishes, Allan.
