I think a lot of us are on the same train this year, moving away from the production line towards a wider variety of crochet and crafting. It's still going to be a fun year ❤

I was the same 1 amigurumi after another just working my way through books and my cousin asked if I wanted to put them on her stall, she also crochet. I said no as they all have safety eyes and I'm not taking the chance of them being given to children as a lot of people misunderstand the meaning of safety eyes I have found. So I have loads of them, so I'm now taking a break from them and currently making Rosina Plane Flora 's fauna and really enjoying it will still have the same problem what I'm going to do with it I don't know but it's my hobby and I have to do something so I'm not going to overthink it to much as long as I'm enjoying myself that's all that matters.
@GingerCatCrochet9 күн бұрын
Yes, you have nailed it there. We still have to create! I'd really like to try a Rosina Plane. I was interested before I jumped on the amigurumi train! 😺🧡

I'm 75 and love crochet and knitting my grandchildren are all grown up so I don't make things for them now but I love making toys so much I can't stop, and I won't because I do it for me and the pleasure I get from creating is that wrong ?
@GingerCatCrochet8 күн бұрын
@jennylow2598 ooh no, what you like to make is never wrong. If it brings you joy, I'm all for it. 🧡

Glad that you are taking steps toward acheiving happiness in your crafting and doing KZbin does have a way of making you want to crank out projects. I look forward to seeing what beautiful things you create in 2025 whether it be an amigurumi, blanket, a cardigan, or anything else! 🤗❤️

Thank you, Pamela, for that very useful and interesting chat about how you’re thinking of moving forward with your crafting. It’s definitely important to get the right balance and good to question ourselves like this every now and then! And I’m certain that all of us enjoy popping by to see you because we simply like your company. ❤

Hearng you chat about your crochet creations moving forward is exactly what I have been addressing at the beginning of 2024. Being a YT creator it is very hard to separate the creations you actually want to the creations for KZbin. I think it is wise to set up the questions before creating. I was disappointed at the waste I was creating with no intentions. I had no idea you were a knitter.😮 i also have a few cross stitch patterns and embroidery kits that i would like get my hands on soon. Whatever you create I wil be here for it❤ Hugs Pamela

Ollie is adorable! I like the colors in your square...very pretty together. I found the same...trying to do too much and pushing aside what I really wanted to do. FOMO is real! 😂I hope you find so much joy in crafting in 2025.

I'm not sure how I found your channel, probably from Cassandra at Craftably Ever After. I started watching not too long ago in 2024. I enjoy watching all the things you make. I don't often comment as I crochet while watching, but I want you to know one of the many reasons I watch you is because of your varied interests. You are an extremely likable and talented woman who gives me lots of inspiration and encouragement. Keep being YOU, Pamela. I don't need another copycat podcaster. ❤❤❤❤❤

Oh, thank you so much for your support. I think I've put myself into this amigurumi box and become less of what I want to be about. 🤔 It's always good to have a bit of self-analysis as long as it's positive! 😺🧡

It was really interesting listening to your reasoning regarding making amigurumi creatures. The same thing happened to me about 3 years ago. I was obsessed making amigurumi, improving my makes along the way. Once I’d perfected them however, I got really bored with them. I’d also made a lot, which were taking over my craft room. I’ve since given most of them away, and I’ve totally stopped making them. I moved onto sewing animals, in particular, Luna Lapin the hare. These became another obsession. I enjoyed both the hand sewing and sewing their clothes using a machine. I do still crochet, because I love it, but mainly do blankets or wearables.
@GingerCatCrochet9 күн бұрын
That sounds very like my thoughts. I'll always have obsessions because that's my personality, but the obsession has to be engaging. 👍🏻😺🧡

Happy New Year! I think you have a great plan for 2025. I have so many Amigurumi’s sitting everywhere in my house. I’d like to try and do markets this year and sell some things. This year I’m going to be mindful about what I make. I’ll be watching you this year for sure!!! Have a great weekend💖💖💖💖💖

Happy New Year, Pamela. Listening to your chat about crafting really resonated with me. I've set a few intentions regarding my crafting. Like yourself I enjoy multiple crafts and want to explore them further. Knitting usually takes over though. I made my first amigurumi last year after being inspired by watching you. I'll definitely be watching along this year to see all your lovely projects. X

I would watch you if you read the phone book because I enjoy listening to your stories and seeing what you do. You had me smiling through the whole video. I appreciate that you shared where your journey is going and the struggle so many of us face. I have felt everything you said and I'm struggling to participate in as much as I can, while still making sure I can use the finished product and enjoy the process.

Looking forward very much to following as you explore your new and old directions. Really enjoyed the goalie chat. I do love following goalies myself but was unaware of this lad- I'll check him out. I hate to be an enabler but I do love the idea of Terrier hero in a shop situated in a *UFC stronghold. Lifesize. My initial research on him puts him between 6'2" and 6'7".

Thank you for saying the prices for the amigurumi was very low because that is the reason I will not sell my knitted or crochet items. They take hours sometimes days to make and people don't want to pay fair prices. I make them and give them to oved ones. ❤

One of the reasons I don't sell and really don't like to even gift amigurumi with safety eyes is my concern about safety and not knowing if they will be used correctly.
