Later, the village of Turkabad and its neighboring village, which is called Sharifabad, became the most important gathering center of Zoroastrians. It is interesting to know that this fire was lit during the Sassanid era and by the order of Mobadan, and it remained lit through the passage of time with great efforts. After going through the most extreme events, this fire remained at its last destination and is kept in the same place until today and is still burning as the most sacred fire of Zoroastrians. Finally, it should be said that the fire of this fire belongs to the fire of Karian Temple in Larestan, which was brought to Yazd and preserved in 852 solar year.

تاریخچه آتشکده یزد بسیار شنیدنی است. همان طور که پیش تر نیز به آن اشاره کردیم، برخی منابع معتقدند که آتش آن نزدیک به ۱۵۰۰ سال است که خاموش نشده است. آنچه درباره‌ی تاریخچه این آتش در کتاب زرتشتیان نوشته شده این است که برخی از موبدان زرتشتی که با هجوم مغولان پراکنده و آواره شده بودند پس از مستقر شدن حکومت ایلخانان، به روستایی به نام ترک آباد کوچ کردند و آتش بهرام که داستان و حوادث بسیاری پشت سر گذاشته بود را در روستای مجاور قرار دادند. بعدها روستای ترک آباد و روستای مجاورش که شریف آباد نام دارد به مهم‌ترین مرکز تجمع زرتشتیان تبدیل شدند.جالب است بدانید که این آتش در زمان ساسانیان و به فرمان موبدِ موبدان افروخته و در گذر زمان با تلاش های بسیار روشن ماند. این آتش پس از گذراندن اتفاقات بسیار نهایت در آخرین مقصد خود ماندگار شد و تا به امروز در همان جا از آن نگهداری می‌شود و هنوز که هنوز است به عنوان مقدس ترین آتش زرتشتیان بر افروخته است. در نهایت باید گفت که فروزه‌ی این آتش متعلق به آتش آتشکده کاریان در لارستان است که در سال ۸۵۲ خورشیدی به یزد آورده و نگهداری شد.
