I miss the roclite too, hard to believe they stopped them tbh

Tried a pair of these on in the Inov8 shop I found them a little shorter in length to the roclites so I needed to size up. like you I love the roclites for stomping round the peak so I hope they are a worthy replacement

I always like the roclites as a walking / approach shoe, but the fit never seemed right for running for some reason. Hopefully these (probably the speed version) will be a good all round running shoe, although I’ve just bought the mudtalon and find the heel cup too insecure, which is a shame as they’re not very stable on rough ground

@@andydt82 I'm not really a fan of the new anatomically shaped shoes. They don't feel snug enough for running on technical terrain. I guess it must be tricky trying to design a shoe that suits everyone.

I tried on both the Mudtalon and Mudtalon Speeds, in different sizes and while the toe room was good, didn't like the rest of the fit on my foot and the heel felt insecure. So that's put me off all the new Inov8s...

@@gregholmes8764 Yes tricky to find a shoe that fits perfectly. And if you do, the chances are that the manufacturer changes the design on next year's model!

How would this compare to ru trail talon and mud talon normal I’m looking for a Spartan shoe?? Any help would be great
@fellrunningguide2 күн бұрын
@@jonathansale7138 These are slightly heavier and have a higher drop (6mm rather than 4mm) than the Speed version. The Mudtalon have a different upper that drains faster and also a more aggressive sole design so are better suited to wet, muddy ground.

Not sure about the stack and width compared to the old roclites. The mudtalons due to both are a trail shoe that's good in mud, not a fell shoe like the two models that it replaced. Fear this may be going the same way!

@@NoxiousNoodles I seem to remember having different Roclites with both 6mm and 4mm drop. These feel wider in the toe box with a different design shape. I've got the Mudtalon Speed - similar shape to these but different material and much more flexible. Always frustrating when a shoe you like gets discontinued.

they seem to have become another hoka .....nevermind in 10 years minimal will be back in vogue maybe ?

@@kevina6587 I've got some Hoka Speedgoats. Not sure there's much similarity between them and these Trailtalons.
