What is great about it. When train traffic is awesomely less, running long size train or at faster speed does not matter. It is automatically possible with much less than normal traffic.

Yes in theory but in practicality imagine the load on the couplers and on each chassis. At some point the wagons near the front would just break due to towing so many behind. This was actually FOUR trains put together with four separate motive-power sets all having to work in concert to ease the strain. At every curve and incline or decline, power at each one has to be adjusted to keep something from breaking and with over 200 wagons it could anything that might break. It is a feat of major proportions - definitely an accomplishment to be respected. I am sure the Indian Railways crews have got used to running very long trains by now. Expect to see even longer ones in future.

Thank you very much Jonnie for highlighting technical innovations. I am also proud of our Railways Technical and Running staff. Technical wonders keep innovating for past many centuries and each improvement paves ways for further innovation & improvement. My concern was about its possible continuity in running such trains during normal period when our train system gets highly over populated and we still encounter problems of delays, unmanned crossings, etc. Creating something is good but until our infra supports its usage in normal cource, it might remain as mere piece of achievement!

Only 2 wag 12 can pulled this empty rack. The main reason is to attach 9 loco is after filling rack with mineral they separated and dispatch to various places. Thanks For watching

Very commendable ! By having 4 goods trains together -- they have saved 4 signals/siding/re-start and the inherent jams and surely an advantage. I think the freight cargo is different in different trains and, instead of consolidating the cargo, they have consolidated the trains -- 4 trains in this case !! Freight is a very important element in an economy and, its movement should be important. Thanks your time..very informative !
