Hey Greg, over the years I have learned that if I keep the rod in the same position as long as possible after the hookset occurs (left or right side of the kayak), I lose less bass. I have watched you lose 6 or 7 big bass by quickly moving your rod to the right side of the kayak, or vice versa, when we should hold it on the left or right longer to allow a deeper hookset while fighting the big bass.

Double buzz-baits are awesome (especially on the Delta)! I ALWAYS throw the double buzz when throwing buzz baits - you can slow it down and keep it in the strike zone longer and it has a larger noise and size profile making it ideal when the fish are aggressively reacting to top water. My 9+ pounder came on a double buzz on the Delta ...scared the crap out of me when she hit. She literally destroyed the buzz bait! Keep on Bassin"!

I don’t think a buzz bait imitates anything in nature. I think the commotion and noise of the blade just creates a pure reaction strike. Epic day man holy crap those were some incredible blow ups.

It's awesome to see how productive the buzz bait is now that you're using the paddle-tail as your trailer. While I know you liked using the frog with the buzz bait, I've always felt that having a paddle-tail was so much more tempting for bass.
