Hi Connie! Thank you so much for the lovely flip-through of my new coloring book! I am so glad you like it. This book was such fun to draw, as I love all things "fall". Happy Autumn, and Happy Coloring! :)

I love these books. They get me in the mood for the season changes and holidays. I had a Trigger Finger in my ring finger a few years back. I wore either a single glove or a pair. They were black, fingerless? And had a nice secure fit. They were therapy gloves. I wore them for a while. I wore them while doing housework etc. Eventually the trigger finger went away. It has not returned. I hope you can somehow find relief. Take care. Have a great weekend.😊

Oh wow the pictures you coloured already are incredible! And the background in the WIP is 😍 Thanks for the flip through. I'll pick up at least one of her books, they look amazing. 🙂

I really like Karen E Myers' books, the illustrations are very unique, whimsical what you can't find in any other books. BUT I find her line work very thick which kind of prevents me from reaching out for her books. Also I find it weird that she draws those faces on things. I personally think her pictures would be a lot better without the faces. Thank you for the flips, Connie. It is a lovely book though.

I too think the faces detract from her really nice drawing style.

It's wonderful that there is something out there for everyone who colours so I totally get that there may be some elements of her style that are off-putting for some folks. :) It's great that we're all unique and enjoy different things! I wonder if you could cover up the faces with something opaque (like maybe a white acrylic marker?) and then just colour over the item as though it didn't have a face. Just thinking while typing. :)

That is actually a very good idea - I've never thought of this but must try 😊

Hi Connie, thanks for doing this flip and I agree with you on the AI I mean it is interesting but it takes away from the artist and there are some weird things that come from it! I really enjoyed this!!! Thanks for sharing! I went ahead and ordered the three books in this series!!

Thanks for the flip, I have all her books on my to buy list. They are so lovely and look relaxing to color. Loved the stone work you did in your picture. You mentioned you followed Lucy’s tutorial. Do you remember which video? I’d love to learn how, your stones looked great! Thanks and looking forward to your next video.

I ordered 6 of her books after watching this video and was so disappointed. So many of the pages had heavy black lines. Some of the pages were so heavily dark they looked fuzzy or out of focus. Her drawings were outstanding and I loved the concepts behind them. Her work is not being displayed to her advantage. I kept the 2nd Christmas book as it had best pages overall. How do you deal with these black lines?

I'm so sorry you were disappointed! I think some of that issue is probably coming from the poor print quality of CreateSpace-printed books - it really is a shame. She does sometimes have thicker, more dense line-work on some images - I tend to not colour those ones. I think if I did, I'd just let the blacker, more dense line-work do my shading for me - know what I mean? I'd just flat colour (probably with markers) and see what happens. :) You can also buy her books on her Etsy shop and then print them out yourself. I don't know if that would solve all of the heavily dark line work problems but it might make the images crisper so the dark line work doesn't appear so fuzzy. This is her Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/MysticalLandsArt Hope that helps!
