Such a groovy arrangement of Gershwin's classic. Dianne Reeves approach to the tune swung in such a classy way. When she started to trade fours I was hoping that she would go easy on the violinist due to often paralyzing effect on musicians, but the guy not only made a beautiful exchange yet he add so much more to the dialogue between the two. The arranger summons the musical spirits of the Gershwin's and made it a sound Gershwinesk.

Wonderful collaboration! My favorite rendition by a country mile! I live in a small lakeside town that is often foggy in winter and I try to cheer up my workmates on gloomy days by singing this (badly)

I admire the elegance of this arrangement with a stupendous orchestra but it TOO MUCH! Lady Day cut the definitive version of this tune so either pay homage or leave it alone. Scatting out of place and fiddle! Really? Fog demands a muted bari Sax clammy around the ankles. Strange. Guess it's "different"
