A foot in Egypt, a heart still in Gaza | رجل في مصر وقلب في غزة

مع أولادها ووالدتها، دخلت صابرين دالي مصر عن طريق معبر رفح يوم 24 أبريل الماضي، عابرة الحدود لتجد لهم ملاذًا من العدوان الإسرائيلي المستمر على قطاع غزة. لم يحصل زوج داليا على الإذن للعبور في ذلك الوقت، واضطر للمكوث وحده في غزة على أمل الانضمام لأسرته لاحقا. لكن في 7 مايو احتلت القوات الإسرائيلية الجانب الإسرائيلي لمعبر رفح ولم يفتح لعبور الفلسطينيين منه منذ ذلك الحين. رحبت صابرين بـ«مدى مصر» في مقرها المؤقت في مدينة السادس من أكتوبر لتشاركنا تجاربها في الحرب والانفصال الغير متوقع بين أفراد أسرتها.

Sabrine Dali entered Egypt through the Rafah border crossing with her children and mother on April 24, seeking refuge from Israel's ongoing war on the Gaza Strip. Her husband, who had not yet obtained official permission to cross, had to remain behind, with hopes to join them in the near future. Then, on May 7, Israeli forces took control of the crossing’s Palestinian side, and the border has remained closed since. Sabrine welcomed Mada Masr into her latest temporary home in 6th of October City to share with us her experiences in Israel’s war, including the unexpected separation of her family
