A for Effort

A For Effort was composed originally for Urbnergy, my jazz trio with bassist Marty Confurius and drummer Don Mulvaney, that active until 2015. This track is from MIQ's self-titled release in January of 2019, with:
Bud Burridge - trumpet
Vinnie Della Rocca - tenor saxophone
Marc Irwin - piano
Dick Sarpola - double bass
Warren odze - drums.
The title is a play on words, as the composition moves through the pitch centric areas of "A" and "F". with the solo sections being centered in A minor.
