Whatever she did *worked!* First thing I do is think of Amazon! Many times I have been out shopping and stores did NOT HAVE what I needed, in the store I went to Amazon and the product I needed, and many cases, my size, was on Amazon.

Yes, I've run into that problem too. That being said, I stopped going to Amazon for those things. About 6 months ago, my bank account ran completely dry. Since then, I've had to be deliberate about what I spend my money on and who I buy from. Sometimes it's Amazon, but most of the time, I either don't buy it at all, or I buy it from a smaller retailer from their website. It's actually been very liberating to set those kinds of boundaries. If I know I'm not buying it (or saving up to buy it from a better retailer), then I don't even have to think about it. It's kept me off of Amazon and out of brick and mortar stores too. Now, I go for a walk in the park instead of clicking buy, and my life is better for it.

I tried Amazon a few times, and the items I got were so obviously counterfeit that I went back to brick and mortar shopping and buying directly from manufacturers' stores and sites.

Unregulated too. You don’t know what a seller is putting in those products, even Sod By Amazon just means Amazon got it from some unknown seller in the open unregulated marketplace

Direct buying from: artists, manufacturing, research before buying, shop small businesses first, create/cook for that gift. Can’t cut of mass consumerism and Amazon completely but smarter way or waiting for your item to arrive might create a better place for employees and the environment 😊

I was the same as previous commenter. I finally had enough and started an Amazon Detox in 2019. A. unplugged devices & placed in a storage container. B. canceled Prime, music, audible. C. 2022: finally deleted the shopping app so the temptation is no longer there So much better!

People would be surprised how busy the Fullfilment centers are, I drop and hook Amazon loads in the Southwest

Amazon marketplace products are not regulated like walk in stores. CBC consumer investigators did some pieces on this. Cheap clothing w toxic chemicals , electronics burning, beauty products w mercury. Walmart online shopping uses the same open marketplace. Go to your local stores instead.

Don't you see what this did? You can show/tell people about the insidious and manipulative methods Amazon uses. Then, people are just ok with that and keep on shopping. It's desensitization.

"I'm always looking to make a difference and have an impact..." Yet she spent 15 years there as an eager and willing participant, pulling down an executive salary, designing the programs she claims to be against. If they hadn't fired her, she'd still be there designing ways to get your money.

@@cruzintheraw But, valuable insight comes from the people who designed and promoted these systems. They can either keep on doing damage, or come to their senses and try to start doing the right thing and fix the damage. That takes a lot of humility, also. I'm glad she's doing this, I don't hold her past against her.

They gonna believe, they don’t want insights of actual people working in amazon. So cool being a victim. Agree!It bugs me how these people (whistleblowers) in lots of industries that suddenly have epiphanies and decide to speak up , always do it years later when they are retired or have already made millions and have nothing to lose.

I try very jard to shop locally and from smaller brands. Amazon is my last resort if I can't find something.

Spread the word guys. Ppl must watch. We need as many onboatd as possible to change things for the better. Spread to your celebs, infuencers, politicians to address the issue. More eyes opened the faster the change.

Yes public speaking is definitely not easy, doesn’t come naturally if you’re shy, it takes a lot of practice, self confidence and being knowledgeable of the topic and speaking clearly takes a lot of self reflection and understanding of how you convey the message, so yes it’s hard to master communication skills. 💯🤓
