Honestly, I feel like Walter has cared deeply about every AC pilot under his handle, not just us, but everyone before us. He's no heartless bastard, he even sounds depressed after we take out multiple other pilots, but he has to play up his Handler character to hide his affiliation with Overseer. If any of the corps found out early about his intent to destroy the Coral for good, he'd have never even made it planet-side. All Mind would have wiped us from existence if she found out. Carla doesn't have to worry about a "character" because she has no affiliation with the corps and All Mind. She's a free agent, unlike Walter. He isn't "coming around to us," necessarily, he's opening up because he doesn't need to hide it once we're showing a true potential to actually reach his goals. Walter is a Rubiconian too, and he has to balance the pull from both his desire to free his people and his (perceived) duty to wipe out the Coral before it can get anything worse.

I think Escort the Mining Ship is easier with Flamethrowers instead of Gatling Guns. They utterly melt the wheels. Bring two Stun Needle Launchers to stagger the C-Weapons and then melt them too. Songbirds is really good for the wheels as well though.

Also quadlegs are a big factor in taking little damage and beef up ur AP. That way, u can carry the stun needle launchers and bad cooks all the way to the last stage, with the C-Weapons and Wheel Reinforcements@@ibs_haver

I really had to get that one down to a series of discreet, repeatable steps to finally get it done. Probably took me thirty tries, even if a portion of those were me restarting because I didn’t get a perfect no-ammo kill on the first stealth mech.

so anybody versed in the lore of this game, can correct me if i'm wrong. but I'm certain there are coral augmentations people can undergo, that can lengthen the lifespan by halting the aging process drastically so possibly cinder carla had undergone such a procedure.

Damn I’ve been blazing through these in the last couple days with a variation of this build, but goddamn am I stuck on Intercept the Redguns. I’ve done it like ten times over the course of two days but I’m having trouble consistently landing the chainsaw combo on Michigan, causing the fight to drag on and me to use more ammo and take more damage. Also this is a fantastic video, very entertaining and helpful!

That's definitely an understandable disagreement😂 It took me a while to wrap my head around what angle to dodge the laser beams at, and Double Trouble being inconsistent completely threw me off, so my perspective is probably bit skewed. Glad I could help you finish off those S-Ranks!

you can actually take out every single drone in the defend the tower mission if you place that big stationary pulse shield right in front of the Zylum tower. if done right. every single one of them will hit the pulse shield

Hey! this is great! Still working through all of the S ranks. I'd watch a lore video for sure, Other folks have done some good ones but this game is vague enough that I think there is room for a lot of conversation about the story

Tip for "Investigate BAWS Arsenal N.2": You can actually scan the three stealth bots before opening the door to the tunnel, so if you're quick enough, you can engage them while they're still "unaware." Doing so is an immense help, at least for me, because I can take out one before the other two even notice, removing the risk of a 3v1 fight and making the encounter more manageable. Don't even need to use the Pulse Shield if you can use the environment as cover after taking out whichever stealth bot you go for first.

Doing so initiated a scan and I was baffled to see that the bots showed up on it and were already targeted by the target assist. Blew my mind, been doing that ever since

A great video! Didn't really liked the build for s-ranking (minigun ammo are expensive,so ammo costs are skyrocketing when im using it, and i feel better using lighter builds to dodge and close the distance with enemies , anyway, guess its just a matter of playstyle) bit it does helped A LOT with s-ranking some trickier missions. Great video! Ref ELIMINATE DOSER FACTION; I did have a lil chuckle when he said it was his most difficult. I guess I got lucky but I cleared it first try; the trick was having the VVC-706PM (shoulder plasma missiles); one for each of the big enemies is enough and you can fire them fly-by (without pausing mid air to fire). Light build with Ransetsu Rifles for the first mob.

The prison rescue mission depends on the hp of the rescue helicopter 🚁 don’t let it reach low levels and you’ll get a S rank. Bring the pulse shield on the last part.

Solid video boss man. I do agree that the build you have is almost easy mode (the game isn’t easy but if you’ve gotten all 3 endings and have all the missions unlocked you’re so used to the game you earned your stripes. And I can only recommend S rank attempts after you’ve done those 3 endings) however, sometimes the Zimmerman combo is essential as well as double beam rifles. It varies between certain missions. Idk maybe it’s me. When fighting an ac it seems to almost break the game when you get into melee range and blast them point blank with shotguns. Like if you’ve played enough of the game. You don’t have to stop for a melee animation and you for sure land your shots cus you’re in their face and it seems to be that small part of a fight where you’re untouchable. If you ride their ass AC’s are easy with shotguns (unless you’re fighting rusty his melee bat-ton staff shit is nasty so you gotta stay away from that) where as with gats they’ll run away before you can get them into stagger and you’ve just waited bullets. I’d argue you have to change your build for multiple missions and tweak it for some of those trickier ones. Again. Great video man helped me out a lot. Could not get past mission 26 for the life of me

Thanks! For the OS tuning, I had all of them unlocked since I did every arena encounter, but if you don't have every chip yet, I recommend prioritizing them in the following order: Weapon Bay Boost Kick Direct Hit Modifier Kinetic Weapon Damage Melee Weapon Damage Pulse Armor ACS (The one that gives damage mitigation) The other chips can help, but aren't nearly as important as these ones. Switching some parts around to budget for a Stun Needle might help for some missions, but at least the nerf wasn't TOO bad from what I can tell

The boss on the intro mission was a bit cheap but I did it on my 5th or 6th attempt. The closest to a soulslike game I've played is star wars Jedi fallen order and I quit in chapter 3 because it just wasn't fun for me and the only from software game I've played is enchanted arms which is quite a bit different from this. I do not want to s rank the game but I do think I'll get to the true ending, glad a option to test builds and get a refresh on combat if you have a break from the game which is common for me but I intend to get to the true ending this month or mid December. The customization could suck me in for ages

Idk how the heck you killed the boss on Survey the Uninhabited City so quickly. It just sat in one spot and let you stagger and melee it. Whenever I get near the bugger he just vroom vrooms 500m away and I can't even keep enough energy to chase him long enough to get a stagger most of the time. It's a nightmare mission for me

The requiremets for S ranking depending on ammo usage is completely bullshit. I finished this mission with the same health as your chopper but i used more ammo and i got an A. S rank chasing ruins this game in my opinion. Its ridiculous.
