I love the fact that you’re not a reseller. You do what I’ve done for years. I raised 3 kids using sal Val to clothe them and to make my home a comfortable and styled home. The yellow & orange wooden piece looks like the table top tobacco cabinet my Grandpa had. The four square drawers are for pipes, tips, lighters, pipe cleaners, etc. the large drawer is to store loose leaf tobacco & the thin drawer at the top with the metal bottom was used to cut the tobacco on so it would fit inside the pipe. At least that’s what he used it for. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The folding legs indicate, to me, that it is a folding stand for a large wooden serving tray, such as would be used to serve tea etc. I would think a glass topped table would have stationary legs on it.

You could clean it up, put “I need thee every hour”, my grand father had a hickory stick hanging, and the sign said “I need thee every hour”, made grandkids think before they start to do something! He never whip us but MawMaw did, but it was a fresh stick, that I had to get for her!

I have that butter dish. It sits beside my stove. Use it every day. I love it. Love the sled, and the wreath. I bought 3 wreaths a couple years ago from a church thrift store. One is Huge. They all hang outside for Christmas. Got my big tree up today. This poor old broken down Grandma is whooped. It was worth it though. By the way... you're easy to be kind to Julie...You are kind. We all need to lift each other up. God's word says, we are to love one another. He expects nothing less. Enjoyed the video as always. Excited for the makeover too.

I pick up anything that speaks to me and I have a place to put it. Hunny tells me he’s glad they don’t have thrifted spouses or I might be inclined to add another collection to my thrifting madness! Too funny, but I am an avid thrifter and lamps just jump into my cart most every thrifting outing along with French White Corelle, anything strawberry, baskets for my basket rail, picture frames and on and on and on. If I ever quit thrifting…I think my son would have to be revived for he’d pass out from shock!!! It’s a harmless pastime and I’m not alone in this as I see just on KZbin. So I say if you like it and you have a place for it then give it a good home to shine in its second go round, or third or fourth!!!:):):)

Hi Julie. Nice haul. Corning wares are ridiculously expensive everywhere. Here in Perth at the op shop is a rarity to find out in good condition and with lid. My mum has a collection of the same one as you do. Corning wares are not only pretty and functional, they last forever.🙂 Love from Perth.western Australia.🇦🇺

Hi Julie… I understand the “lamp shade “ struggle! I have even painted them before…ugh… looks nice when the light is OFF…but when turned on..all brush stroke show 😩 Never again will I do that one! I agree with those beautiful Johnson Brother Plates, so pretty, but I don’t need them nor am I a reseller. But we can look and appreciate them. How cute is the sled and great find on the wreath. LOVE THE CHICKEN SIGN. I laughed out loud and had to read it to my husband! Love it! When I saw the Butter Dish, i immediately thought about how pretty it would be if you used the cover for a candle! I love using the unexpected item and make a candle in them. Oh that cut glass would give off amazing prisms ❤️ But that is me ! LOL!!!! Have a blessed, blessed time with your family ! Lightly sand it and wash it down real good and put the you could do the two in one spray by Rust-Oleum or you could put milk paint over it to good coats of milk paint and you'll be good to go

I love lamps too! The embordered shade was so cute. Bells are so in this year. My mom decorated with paper bells for Christmas every year in the 70's. I still use them to because it reminds me of my childhood.

Julie, I use to make kitchen decorations with those muffin pans. I made corn bread muffins in there and let them dry out a put a sealer on them. Put a ribbon on to hang it. I painted a little flower 🌺 between the muffins. They were so adorable 😊. I sold them and gave them away.

I'm leary of cannisters with wooden lids, ever since I picked up a beautiful white ceramic set with wooden lids and rubber airtight seals on the sides of the lids. Totally cleaned them, only to discover than two of them had a horrible "rancid" odor from the lid, which I couldn't get rid of, no matter what. ( baking soda, sunlight, newspaper...etc.) Finally gave up and re-donated!

Sled is such a find! I like the greenery on the sled. Very pretty large wreath. Perfect as it is. I think I have s small lamp fetish.I have an entire set of Wexford condiments still in pkg with butter,salt&pepper,cream& sugar,cruet bottle. I bought that set when I was like 20 yrs old and I am soon to be 69.

The milk glass bowls were real. They are made by fire king/anchor hocking. They have the opaque white coloring that you seen. Westmoreland milk glass has a pure white look too them.

My friend collects antique children's ice skates and puts them on her antique sleds with just pine and pinecones....so cute!😀....my tip,I use clear fishing line to hang anything from the middle of wreaths or in my windows (it's strong and you can't see it..lol)

I want like to see the dressing made. I have Johnson Brothers dishes but I won't buy them at this price either. I think that one piece might be a folding table. You use a glass piece on top that can be removed for either storage time or when more room is needed.

I have those two patterns as well. Got the first piece as a wedding gift in 1962. I bought 2 big boxes full of different sizes of Corning ware pieces a few years ago at an estate sale for a very good price and best of all they had belonged to a sweet lady that I had known for years.

Hey there Tammy here. I am an obsessive thrift shopper. My 0roblem is my brain never shuts off. Lol. I have a triple space in an antique/repurpose store. I need to figure out how to make myself stay home to craft as well as thrifting. 🤔 my home overflows with project pieces. 😜🙃 I recently have discovered the fun of seeing how others thrift. In the end of your video you have an object in question. It is the base for a table/bowl bird feeder. I have had fun using lrg flat wicker baskets on them for cute side porch table. Round or square wooden cutting boards or bowls work as well. Try adding handles for a server base beside the main table.

Please share your dressing recipe. That sled is just precious. I noticed in the video you were struggling to know if the size of the basket and lamp shade. I made a tiny investment that changed that for me. Go to ACE hardware and buy a keychain measuring tape! 99¢! Measure the size you want and then you will always have that little tape measure for making sure in the store! Game changer. Loved the video as always. Thanks for taking me thrifting again! ☺️

You may already know, but I clean my Corning ware with a wet dish and sprinkle baking soda on it and I clean it with a paper towel and it will clean all the dark spots off of it!

The little thin top drawer of the cabinet looks like it’s a mirror and on the back it looks like you can pull out a stand. Maybe it was a makeup vanity or something like that. Will be very cute when painted.

You got such great stuff this time, Julie! I love those muffin tins, btw. They're so vintage looking. They'll look great in your decor. That was a great deal on the lidded casserole dish, too! It amazes me, sometimes, how older pieces avoid being chipped or scratched. Just think of all the places it may have been before it's trip to Goodwill! It's pristine. I'm not a teapot collector, but the other day I purchased an adorable teapot for $5 that turned out to be a Majolica piece from the 1920's! It has the most beautiful crazing, yet not one chip or even a crack in it. Nearly 100 years old! Amazing. Enjoy everything, Julie, and have a wonderful weekend! (BTW, I thought you did a fantastic job modeling the ThredUp clothes the other day, too!) 🙂

Love the vintage cookie cutters as I’ve collected them for a long time. Just this year I decided to use the Christmas ones and make a garland for my kitchen window used red and white twisted bakers twine for the garland with small red and white checked ribbon on the ends and between a few of the cutters. It turned out super cute and was easy to put together.
