I feel like it’s great to have them as options so that you can test things out but I recommend asking a sales associate for help bc we actually sanitize them for you and even open a new tester for you if we deem the tester unsanitary

I personally don’t put anything on my face, just apply to my hands to get a feel of what the product looks like/feels like on my skin bjt they are meant to be USED, jsut hopefully used right…

I swear there have been studies that have found an alarming amount of fecal matter, viruses, bacteria, etc. on makeup testers. If you wanna use products directly on your face (especially anything that goes anywhere near mouth and nose) be my guest, I'll only judge if you get mad about a break out/reaction and blame the product.

yep easily can get mycoplasma infection in eye or on face this way. and if u don't know u hav that the doctor is unlikely to test for it and will give you regular eyedrops. it can actually lead to serious complications in the eye. and it is very easy to pick up if sharing make up like that

Went to a very popular Sephora in my area that’s known for it cleanliness and got Color match for concealer the worker applied a little under my eye with a sample tester thing and even tho she was being as sanitary as possible I had bacterial conjunctivitis the next day

As a med student i have never ever in my life used makeup testers and even measured bikini without something under my skin… Less you know more happy and careless you are i guess 💁‍♀️ even if you rub alcohol in product it will not kill bare minimum… There is reason why we use different sanitizer in hospitals and not just alcohol 🥲🥲🥲 Im not germaphobe but, no one sees house burning and runs in it just because they can 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️

Never in my LIFE would I use these products on my face. If, and that's a huge if, I have to test let's say a foundation for it's shade, I do it on my hand. I'd test anything else on my hands as well and if it's not possible but I want the product, I just risk buying it. After all, I can still sell it if it's not really for me. This is ick…but I also don’t understand people who use the applicators of any makeup tester on any part of their body (yes even the back of the hand) and then put back in the tube…that is still gross. There are one-use applicators you can dip in the tube, swatch on your hand, and throw away after so you can mitigate putting your germs right back in the tester product (unlike with the attached applicator).

No for starters you need a product with salicylic acid like the cera ve acne control cleanser for pimples along with a spot treatment directly on top like a gel or patch, and then for blackheads you want a simple exfoliating toner such as the glow recipe or la roche posay solution, and then niacinamide serum or moisturizer for black/whiteheads

Ma’am you cannot just use the Sephora mascara directly on ur eyes. if yall didn’t know you can get eye infection from using a mascara that’s and urs. you can also get eye infection from using the same mascara as other person. it’s better to just not use any sort of makeup product directly on ur face

Ok but putting it on your face is awful bc some people use the applicators to swatch and get their germs on it. The applicator goes back in the product with all the germs on it. And then the germs get into the products and onto your face
